Surrounded by luxurious gardens with tall palm trees, Diamonds Mapenzi Beach is located on the Kiwengwa shoreline on the east coast of Zanzibar. It features 3 restaurants, 2 bars and a spa.
The rooms at Diamonds Mapenzi Beach are furnished in a traditional East Africa style. Each room has a spacious private patio and the bed is draped in mosquito nets.
Ocean Reef, the main restaurant, serves a lavish breakfast, lunch and dinner and special theme nights are arranged weekly. Nakupenda Pizzeria serves fresh pizza and salads and Suli-Suli Restaurant serves an à la carte menu.
Guests can lounge around the swimming pool or take part in water activities arranged by the water sports center. Tours and excursions such as safaris to Tanzania can also be arranged.

+: Everything was exceptional. Everyone was so friendly, and the accommodation was beautiful and kept clean throughout the stay. The food (of which there is much to choose from) was wonderful. Mapenzi staff go above and beyond for your stay, including fun daily activities and help you plan excursions. I would definitely recommend them, especially the all-inclusive package.

+: The main restaurant served breakfast well with great staff, was very supportive and catered to my family's needs in arranging breakfast for room delivery.
-: The staff in the reception disappointed us greatly with a major blunder in an important event (anniversary) that we requested to be prepared by simply ignoring our request due to negligence despite confirming to us that all would be arranged only to find nothing ready in the last minute. That was a major disappointment and a total failure.

-: They did not inform us beforehand that the pool is out of order and then told us that it says so otherwise (it didn’t, I have screenshots to prove that). The management was rude. The alternative hotel they offered to us to stay at the pool was almost an hour away and overcharged us. We did not get value for our money and we left disappointed. We did not feel welcome.
