+: Staff are very friendly and always willing to help. Breakfast was good although service is slow (but this is everywhere in Tanzania, Pole Pole as they say). Roof top view where breakfast is served is very nice. After all the room change arounds we had a pleasant stay. Good location for Stone Town, just need some updating and maintenance then this could be a GREAT Hotel. Seems like there is new management, so hopefully they will solve these issues for future guests.

-: We've booked the Deluxe Junior Suite which states 40 m² room size then we got put into the Deluxe Double Room which is 30 m². I've also asked for a quiet room but ended up right next to some youngsters who were very rowdy and loud. One of the rooms didn't have hot water so when I complained about all of this and asked about the room size we got moved to the actual Deluxe Junior Suites, which was much better but still had one room without hot water and barely functioning shower. They send a guy to fix the pipes but didn't make a difference. Hotel also has a bad smell in some of the rooms. General Zanzibar plumbing problems I think. Would also be best to see the actual room you are booking instead of all the rooms the hotel has available.
