The eco-friendly resort hotel Pemba Lodge is located in a secluded area in a large garden. It offers bungalows built from recycled boats and natural local materials.
The bungalows are located on stilts above the ground on stilts to draw in the sea breeze. A four-poster bed, surrounded by a mosquito net, and a tropical shower lead to them.
The restaurant serves fresh, organic produce, made from seafood and vegetables from the garden. There is also a bar made from recycled wood.
Pemba Lodge offers snorkelling and kayaking to explore the mangroves. Diving and Swahili classes are available upon request.
The resort is 45 minutes ’drive from Pemba Airport and 30 minutes’ drive from Mkoani Ferry Port.

-: We reserved by Booking and then we exchanged some messages to access the hotel (by private boat), it was only when we were at the hotel almost with the sun down, that they told us that we had only paid for two people for one night. If we wanted to stay the night, we had to double the price and they kicked us out the next day, even if we had two nights reserved and even if Booking sent un email insisting in our rights. They refused to get in contact with Booking saying it was our obligation to contact them. The managers treated us really badly, we were defenseless. Even for this review, they told us they would delete it.

+: Le lodge est face à une plage déserte et paradisiaque. Sable blanc à perte de vue. Endroit idyllique pour se reposer. L'accueil a été très chaleureux. Un grand merci à Massoud qui a pris soin de moi comme un père et à Adam pour sa gentillesse au moment des repas (qui sont très très bons). Une seule envie : y retourner.
