Das Triest Hotel was built according to the classic design of the famous architect Sir Terence Conran. It is located in the trendy Freihaus district, just a 5-minute walk from the State Opera and the Naschmarkt open market. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi.

More than 300 years ago, this 5-star hotel was the main stage for diligence on the way from Vienna to Trieste. The original stables with their vaulted ceilings were converted into lounges, suites and conference rooms.

The award-winning Collio Restaurant specializes in fine Italian cuisine. In summer, guests of the Das Triest can enjoy breakfast or a barbecue in the Mediterranean-style courtyard.

Karlsplatz Underground Station is a 2-minute walk away. St. Stephen’s Cathedral can be reached in a 15-minute walk.

+: A very nice hotel conveniently located on the edge of the city center (walking distance). Public transport is also nearby. Breakfast and lunch were excellent. Staff was very friendly. Highly recommended!

+: Das Frühstück war sehr gut, die Junior Suite angenehm groß. Die Lage ist äußerst zentral, man ist fußläufig direkt am Karlsplatz, an der Secession, am Naschmarkt, der Oper etc. Wir haben toll ruhig geschlafen (die Zimmer gingen zum InnenhofGarten), und es war herrlich, bei geöffneten Fenstern schlafen zu können! Auf Nachfrage wurden unsere Kopfkissen in Exemplare aus Latex ausgetauscht, toller Service.

-: Die Badezimmer-Armaturen mit 2 Hähnen für warm und kalt waren schwer einzustellen — man hat sich entweder fast verbrannt oder einen Kälteschock bekommen! Komfort wäre eine Mischbatterie. Auch die Mülleimer im Bad sollte dringend ausgetauscht werden - in Exemplare, die leise schließen und nicht wegrutschen! Wir waren an Ostern im Hotel und hätten uns - einfach als kleine Geste - über ein Schokoladen-Osterei o.ä. auf dem Frühstücksplatz gefreut. So war es einfach trauriggedankenlos! Es wäre schön gewesen, abends (um ca. 2122 Uhr) bei der Rückkehr ins Hotel noch eine Kleinigkeit essen zu können. Das Restaurant hatte immer geschlossen.
