Located amid the Hohe Tauern National Park in Carinthia.
The spacious spa area of Ferienhotel Alber features different saunas, a steam bath, a whirlpool, an infrared health cabin, various mud baths and spa packages, as well as beauty treatments and massages.
The hotels also offers a children’s play room, a table tennis room, a mountain bike rental, a hiking gear shop, and a sunbathing lawn. Hiking poles, rucksacks, climbing shoes and heart-rate measuring devices can be rented.
Located at 2 m above sea level, the Mallnitz high plateau is an ideal starting point for hikes into the unspoiled landscape of the Hohe Tauern National Park.
Ferienhotel Alber offers its guests the National Park Carinthia Card free of charge for stays of 7 days and longer. This card provides free or reduced access to many attractions.

+: Prachtig klassiek hotel op een toplocatie in dorpje Mallnitz, tussen de bergen en direct na de autotreintunnel. Prima stop op weg naar het zuiden vanuit Nederland. Goede parkeergelegenheid bij het hotel.
-: Het hotel is erg gedateerd, zo zit naast het bed nog een oude transitorradio ingebouwd, er staat een beeldbuis-TV etc.. Je stapt echt terug in de tijd. De kamers ruiken ook wat muf, waarschijnlijk vanwege oude vloerbedekking en gordijnen. Alles wordt prima schoongehouden en gerepareerd, maar eigenlijk is dit hotel aan een stevige renovatie toe.

+: Großes Zimmer, tolles Raumangebot, gemütliche Möblierung. Großzügiges HP-Menü, reichhatliges Frühstück, sehr freundliches Servicepersonal, familiäre Atmosphäre.
-: Vor allem auch das Halbpension-Angebot war toll - mit Ausnahme des Hauptgangs im Abendmenü, aber das darf schon mal passieren.

+: Das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen, im Zimmer war alles sehr alt und lauter Wasserflecken an den Wänden. Das Frühstück war gut.
