Mondial Appartement Hotel is located in the Alsergrund district, an 8-minute walk from the Friedensbrücke Metro Stop and the Währinger Straße-Volksoper Metro Stop. It offers spacious, individually designed apartments with Biedermeier-style furniture, free WiFi access, and a 24-hour reception.
The air-conditioned apartments at the Mondial are decorated in a classic Viennese style and provide a fully equipped kitchenette, satellite TV, and a bathroom. Wired internet access is provided free of charge.
Mondial Appartement Hotel offers a tour desk and reception service to handle special wishes (limited hours during the day) such as theater and concert tickets, city tours, and car rental.

+: The hotel is in a nice location, about 5 minutes' walk from the tram that takes you to the city center and about 10 minutes from the metro. There is a big supermarket 2 minutes from the hotel. Lichtenstein palace is practically next door, and its gardens are nice to walk in when the weather is fine. There were several nice and affordable (for Vienna) restaurants nearby. The neighborhood felt safe and was pretty quiet at night. The price was very good for Vienna. All of the staff were nice and helpful. The studio was clean and the towels were changed daily. There was a coffee maker, and some coffee capsules and tea bags were provided, along with sugar, salt and other cooking essentials.
-: There was only one negative and that is sleep quality, but for me that is a very important thing, since I am a light sleeper. Since I was in a studio, the fuse box was in the room where I slept, and it made an annoying buzzing noise that bothered me at night. I discovered by accident on the second night that there is a sort of a kill switch next to the door that turns off the power to the room completely (except to the fridge) and that made the buzzing stop. Speaking of the fridge, it was also pretty loud, so I had to turn it off at night. So the noise was manageable, but I still found it a bit of bother to have to turn the power off every night in order to have quiet. Another problem related to sleep quality was the pillow. While the bed was comfortable, there was only one pillow and it was very thin and uncomfortable to sleep on. I asked for another one, and the staff promptly gave it to me, so a big thanks to them. However, it turned out to be an unfortunate case of one is not enough, and two are too much, so I still had problems sleeping on those pillows. However, I understand that such things might not be a problem for everybody.
