In the nearby shopping center Souk Makadi there are numerous shopping centers, restaurants and bars. On the beach you can do various water sports. 3 km from the Jaz Makadi Oasis Resort, the Makadi Water World Water Park is located with 50 different slides for adults and children.
Makadi Bay is a great choice if you are interested in family vacations , swimming pools and snorkelling .

+: The hotel takes 'all inclusive' quite literally and they go above and beyond to ensure all food and drink is included, whether you're going out for the day, at the waterpark, on the beach or by the pool. The staff are friendly and the food is generally of a good standard. The rooms and entire complex are very clean, there's a good mix of chilled and animated entertainment options, and our room was in an ideal location. I'd recommend room 1253 or this block if you want some peace and quiet!
-: We found some frustrations with certain systems - the dinner booking for the a la carte restaurants is painful, as was extending our room for late check out. It feels like anything involving an online system is a bit of a struggle, and the staff aren't great at dealing with it.

+: It was a very comfortable stay for the whole family. The room cleaning staff did a very good job of keeping our room neat and made it look fresh everyday of our stay. They renewed water bottles and made beautiful handcrafted animals with towels on our bed. My childen enjoyed expecting a new animal and guessing what it would be the next day. We were also happy with activities they offered for children and also the animation team was vivacious and friendly. Food was delicious, but sometimes a little bland to my taste especially meals with meat and fish in them. Food variety was acceptable. Beach was good with beautiful reefs if one enjoys snorkeling and swimming with colorful fish. Concerning the distance to the beach, as I saw in some of the reviews, I found it a leisurely walk through the other beautiful jaz hotels which was a 5-minute walk away from this hotel. I have to mention the meticuous care they paid to keeping the whole area green which was very pleasant.
-: In the bedroom, there were two twins placed side by side. Not suitable for my wife and two children sleeping by her. We preferred a queen or a king bed. The other two beds in the living room were really uncomfortable. I had to sleep on a travel bed which screeched every time I turned to a side. I think putting a travel bed in a room in a 5-star hotel is a bad idea. The air conditioning was very loud too, as they were not new.
