In the Nubian Desert on the banks of the Nile, across from Elephantine Island, Sofitel Legend Old Cataract offers elegant rooms and suites. It features outdoor and indoor pools.
This Victorian building with a pink granite facade has modern rooms with private bathrooms. Each of the air-conditioned rooms is decorated with wood furniture.
Sofitel Legend Old Cataract has 4 restaurants serving international and oriental dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Oriental Kebabgy Restaurant has a terrace with panoramic views of Nile.
The hotel’s 4 bars offer refreshing drinks. The Promenade has views of Elephantine Islands, while The Bar is an evening piano lounge in a classic oriental setting.
Guests can visit the hotel’s spa and relax in the sauna, the hammam, or the hot tub. They can also use the fitness center or enjoy massage treatments.
Aswan International Airport is 57.9 km away, and the hotel offers free private parking on site.

-: The reservation call were very rude not representing 5 star hotel the lady who answered me. I was not able to book it through the reservation call so I book the rooms through booking. The receptionist were not helpful and seem distracted. The administration style is very selective in dealing with people who stay. The style of their service is very selective in dealing and treating with people who stay in this hotel. They are not welcoming so you do not feel want to extend your stay. I do not recommend staying in this hotel it is very expensive for nothing. Since it is a historical place you can stay in another cheaper hotel and come for visiting but not to stay. The money I spent was too much for nothing. It does not worth to spend all this money and get this service. I stayed in cheaper hotels in soma bay, hurghada, and elgouna and get better service. For Egypt, this is very expensive hotel and the restaurants are very expensive and the food is average. You can come for visiting but not to stay. I am sure if you went to cheaper hotel you will get better service and appreciation. This is all about this hotel.

-: I tried to book the hotel through reservation but the girl answered me was very rude. The receptionist and administration were very selective in dealing with costumers. The hotel is very expensive for the worth and value of money. I recommend staying in another hotel and come for visiting since it is a historical place and you are allowed to visit instead of paying all this money.

+: The hotel is beautiful especially the view from the restaurant and the pool. The room is big and comfortable with a great view and nice amenities. Location is in central Aswan and is easy to get around places.
-: Check in took a while and the restaurant food is not so good for the caliber of the hotel. We ate at the restaurant and also had room service and it was just okay. Nothing impressive.

+: lokalizacja, historia hotelu, standard pokoju i dobre śniadania
-: podczas pobytu w lobby kręcono film, co było bardzo krępujące i niestosowne - nie pytano gości o zgodę, co jest niedopuszczalne. Personel recepcji raczej nieuczynny. Nie otrzymałem rachunku za płatność. Okropne centrum biznesowe - brudne, lepiące się, stare komputery, zniszczone fotele, pomieszczenie raczej niesprzątane.
