+: we loved the location, friendly staff. breakfast was great, enjoyed the cretan take on it.

+: Central location with 2 restaurants as the feature. Comfortable clean room with extraordinary staff. Breakfast garden was special. Off site paid parking just steps away. Cost 27 Euroday

-: There needed to be better communication. Not possible to drive to hotel and drop bags. That is ok but we needed to know that in advance, location of their partner parking and cost. Lot is only a few steps away but coming into town with no idea is not a good situation. Rooms were a little odd due to the very central location. They work with what they have and make it very nice. For us, because of tight stairs and our age not the best choice. Staff handles all the heavy lifting but still a little difficult. No big deal if a few years younger and location is great.

+: Sehr schöne, zentral gelegene Unterkunft. Wunderbarer Innenhof für Frühstück. Trotz zentraler Lage fühlt man sich im Grünen.

-: Mangelnde Informationen über Parkmöglichkeit.

+: The restaurant is fantastic and the breakfasts and dinner there (including the staff) are why the score we gave isn't lower. I wish the lodging part of our Avli experience matched to the great dining experience there.

-: The junior suite we booked (blue room) and several others are in a separate annex that has a very loud pub next to it. Hard rock music played until 3 am, which meant we were not able to sleep. It's a shame because the room was beautiful. I think other people booking rooms at Avli should be aware of where exactly their room is located. We had to move our things to a different building at a quieter location for the second night of our stay which disrupted our plans for that day. Plus it was a smaller room but we still paid the price of the junior suite.

+: Nydelig rom og deilig frokost. Perfekt beliggenhet i sentrum av gamle Rethymnon.

+: Gutes großes Zimmer im Rahmen der Möglichkeiten des historischen Hauses. Sehr freundliches, aufmerksames, fröhliches, gut ausgebildetes Personal. Authentisch regionales Frühstück. Degustationsmenü mit sieben Gängen und Ölverkostung mit fein gekochten regionalen Gerichten, fast Sterneniveau. Lecker, preiswert und unübertroffene Atmosphäre im Innenhof.

-: Liegt halt in den engen Gassen der Altstadt.....
