+: We liked the the hotel grounds and the natural beauty. Hotel was surrounded by olive trees, looking at a beautiful scenery of mountains and the sea. Most of the staff were kind and friendly. Rooms were very spacious- we had a 1 bedroom for a family of 4 which was very comfortable and had everything you needed. Late check out option (although you have to pay for it and won't know availability until a day before your last day) Partnership with Beach Comber- although beach isn’t the best in Crete and very wavy, it was nice to get the sunbeds reserved if you wanted to spend a day on the beach. It was a very clean place with nice music and sand. Overall, this was not a 5 star hotel- could have been, but really let down by management choicesdecisions on how to run it.
-: Food - was average! We were HB and despite checking specifically before booking the hotel that it’s be included, they tried to charge us 3 euros for water. Breakfast was pretty bad. Everything was pre-made, we never got a proper hot coffee or egg. There was noone making omlette or fresh pancakes like you would have in a 5 star hotel. There were 2 types of cheese and the menu was the same every day. We had breakfast in Rhodes restaurant one day which was a more typical Creten breakfast and we didn't understand why those local options was not just part of the normal buffet. Dinner was a bit better as they changed the theme every day, so although variety was limited, at least it wasn't repetitive.Restaurant- There were so many waiters! Doing nothing other than literally staring at you to get your plates away as soon as you finish your food. It was actually annoying as they were constantly watching you closely but not to serve but just to take your plate away.Shuttle- we planned to rely completely on shuttle for the beach but realised it only operates at limited hours, so you will have to spend the whole day on the beach if you decide to go. With 2 small children, this wasn't convenient for us so we ended up renting a car for the week which was an extra cost.Towel change is only available between 10am-1pm. We were always away during those hours and never got a chance to change our towels.coffee cafe- only open between 6-10pm. Why? People usually have coffee in the mornings. Never got a chance to try.No nets on windows- so we all got bitten by mosquitos.Car hire- got quoted 590 for 1 week which was hugely overpriced. Concierge lady did absolutely nothing to help us to find a better local company, so we did it ourselves as got it for 230!Overpriced cocktails, coffee and no proper lunch menu (just burger and pizza!)Poor cleaning- spider nets & dust everywhere. They only changed bins & towels.

+: All the staff were friendly apart from the lifeguard. Welcoming staff at reception. Two pools to use although the lifeguard didn't let anyone have any fun. Two bedroom apartment was a great size with two outdoor spaces. Quiet location in the hills. Lovely views.
-: The lifeguard ruined our holiday. Guests weren't allowed to have much fun in the pool. No jumping at all. The minute you approached the pool the lifeguard was waiting to see how you entered the pool. If you jumped in, you got told off. You felt as if you were being checked all the time. Like being at school! You could see lots of guest found this quite surprising. The pool closed at 6pm. Quite early considering its still very hot at 6pm and if you've been out for the day you can't dip in the pool to cool down. We hired a car. Every time we returned, the staff at the entrance of the resort on the driveway checked our room number and the number of people in the car! Not sure why it had to be so strict. It was the only property on the road. There was nowhere else to go. Not sure whether they have had problems in the past with guests trying to bring in extra friends. All seems quite regimented and not very relaxed.

+: L'hôtel est très grand avec 2 espaces piscine distincts. Très bien entretenu, propre, bien situé pour ceux qui recherchent du calme (mais proche des plages).
-: Gros manque d'animations pour les enfants (mini club= une cabane en bois, nous n'y avons quasiment jamais vu un seul enfant durant notre séjour donc n'avons pas osé laisser les nôtres), pas de menu adapté aux enfants non plus. Le rapport qualité prix n'est pas exceptionnel, les clients en all inclusive doivent quand même payer une bonne partie de leurs repas et boissons (à prix réduits), pour le prix exorbitant du séjour c'est quand même décevant. Le buffet n'est pas immense pour un 5 étoiles, la qualité de la nourriture pas exceptionnelle non plus. Baignoires avec rideaux dans les salles de bain au lieu de douches modernes, un peu vétuste! Pour un 5 étoiles, on s'attend clairement à mieux. Familles avec enfants, préférés le Candia Park Resort qui est nettement plus adapté et + "kids friendly".

Nous sommes tout de même dans un 5 étoiles en Europe… pour moi cela ne vaut pas plus de 3 étoiles sincèrement.-les guerres des réservations de transat laissé en toute impunité bien que spécifié interdite par l’établissement.-le miniclub fait de la peine en therme d’activité, et personne de parlant français pour accompagné ma fille de 3 ans, pourtant cela faisait partis de nos critères de recherche, nous ne l’avons laissé qu’une demi journée tellement elle s’ennuyait, donc pas de repos pour nous.-un club de vacances en contre bas de l’établissement qui fait beaucoup de bruits et d’appel au micro jusqu’à pas d’heur.-literie dur clim bruyante.-une fausse formule tout inclus sans que soit tout inclus (vous bénéficier de petite réduction sur 80% de ce qui intéressant et le reste gratuit. Toujours avec une qualité moindre sur la globalité. La formule manque grandement de précision avant d’être souscrite.Exemple : 4€ la glace magnum en tout inclus, toute les glaces payante quoi qu’il en soit. Ou plus de 10€ une omelette (on parle d’œuf battue!!!)-piscine de 10h à 18h trop courte à mon sens pour la fin de journée en tout cas, un 19h l’été me semble vraiment plus approprié.-10€ pour une seul machine à lavé mis à dispo 3h pas plus.-pas de ventilation dans les sanitaires du logement, seul une petite fenêtre oscillante donnant sur un lieu de passage de disponible pour aéré. Pas sympa de pouvoir être vue pendant que vous êtes en douche ou à la selle.
