Tours and prices for holidays at the hotel Alam Shanti Ubud 2* 2026-2027 Indonesia, Bali (resort)

+: Alam Shanti is perfect, set in beautiful gardens in the village of Nyuh Kuning, it is a peaceful escape from busy Ubud (which can be easily accessed by walking or taxi). The rooms are beautiful, and the staff are amazing, providing any help you need, and always so friendly. Breakfasts are varied and delicious and the swimming pool is stunning. They can organise massages, tours and transfers to and from the airport. Nyuh Kuning has some great restaurants and cafes and is a lovely area to wander around. Very close to Tradisi which is a wonderful shop for textiles and sarongs.

-: De trap naar de bovenwoning liep wat schuin.

+: You are basically in the jungle. Monkey forest was so close that we had roaming monkeys on our balcony :) The place is magnificent, so beautiful and peaceful. It’s luxurious and spacious. The hotel consists of 4 houses and 8 guest rooms in total. It felt private and in the same time the stuff cared for us without interrupting. This is one of the most unique hotels I have ever been in. Thank you for everything, Alam Shanti!!

-: I can’t think of anything we didn’t like. Maybe only the limited menu choice in the hotel’s restaurant but it is so tiny compared to all the beautiful things there that it seems insignificant.

+: De kamers en badkamers zijn geweldig, zoveel ruimte. De omgeving en groenvoorziening is onvoorstelbaar mooi. Medewerkers van Alam Shanti zijn super gastvrij en zorgzaam. Ontbijt is top! Zwembad is prachtig. Eerste 10 die we geven na 15 jaar internationaal reizen als stelgezin.

-: Bed was a bit too hard for me

+: Staff were very nice and friendly.

-: Our room balcony faced the rubbish tip, and could constantly smell burning of rubbish.

+: Breakfast was excellent and so was afternoon coffee with sweets. Which was free by the way. There is a shuttle bus which will take you almost anywhere in the city and pick you up again! And it's free! Ubud is noisy, but from this hotel you cannot hear any of it. The garden is like a botanical garden with ponds, and they have their own little rice field.Rooms are an experience in themselves. The design is gorgeous. Never saw anything like this. Staff is helpful at all times.

-: Nothing not to like, but there is perhaps an issue with the drinking water provided in the room. The container gets sunlight during the day and it had a strange taste and smell. I drank from it. My girlfriend did not. I now have serious stomach problems and she does not. I cannot say for sure that this water is the cause.

+: There was nothing to dislike about this place. It seemed like traditional Balinese accommodation modified for tourist comfort to a high standard. Service to the room was excellent, the gardens a haven of tranquility from the hustle and bustle of Ubud. Whilst there was no direct catering on site, meals were brought in from associated establishments locally, that was in no way detrimental to the quality or the service. It was a stay we'll remember for all the best reasons
