+: Lage, Kerzenritual, solides Buffet und schöne Aussenanlage.Das Cateringpersonal und im Barbereich sehr zuvorkommend und positive attitude.

-: Kommunikation bei late checkout und Roomservice via Reception war nicht proaktiv nach Anfrage beim Checkin, Antworten ausweichend, vertröstend oder nicht hilfreich, es wurde kein Entgegenkommen gezeigt um ein Problem am Abreisetag zu lösen.Im Kontakt mit drei Rezeptionsmitarbeitern an 2 Tagen wurden unterschiedliche HinweiseAussagen zum late checkout gegeben, auf Kollegen von der Spätschicht und dann auf die Kollegen am Folgetag verwiesen. Die Grundhaltung ich bin nicht zuständig, übernehme keine Verantwortung zeigt sich häufig in Teams, die sehr eng geführt werden und ein Motivationsproblem besteht.Den Roomservice konnte man telefonisch nur über die Rezeption erreichen, statt weitergeleitet zu werden, bekommt man eine Durchwahl genannt. Die Telefone sind zu leise eingestellt oder das Personal darf auch den swag aufdrehen und selbstbewusster sprechen.Es ist frustrierend, wenn man 3 mal probiert hat den Roomservice telefonisch zu erreichen und dann nach 10min wieder die Rezeption anzurufen, die dann auch weitetleiten kann. Details, aber das "zuvorkommende Wie" ist entscheidend. Leider hat uns das 4* Gefühl auf der Kommunikationsebene auch beim Checkout gefehlt. Wenn es wichtiger ist die Minibarbestände mit den Aussagen des Gastes abzugleichen, parallel das Housekeeping am Telefon, kann man leicht das Gefühl bekommen, dass man dem Gast grundsätzlich misstraut. Tipp: viele Hotels bieten eine inklusive Minibar an oder Sie lassen es einfach.Vor dem Gast Kommentare oder Bemerkungen in Landessprache mit Kollegen zu quittieren undxdabei zu lachen, ist leider auch verletzendmissverständlich, das sind die basics in guest relations.Die roboterhafte Frage, ob man den Aufenthalt gut fand und der eindringliche Hinweis auf eine sehr gute Google Bewertung, waren wichtiger als die Gästebedürfnisse oder ein herzliches Wiedersehengute Reise zu wünschen.

+: This place is right on the beach and the water is warm and spectacular. There are two pools and they are a lovely way to spend the very hot days.

-: The food at the bar was very disappointing, I would eat out.The staff were ok but not at all close to the friendliness that we have encountered in Sri Lanka so far. Some extra details would be nice, for example, the pool was completely unshaded and the ground around the pool was so hot that people were running around. Things like a rug or a few umbrellas would have gone a long way.

+: Great location, beautiful beach and nice resort. Friendly staff who are keen to do anything to help you and are happy and very welcoming.

-: Ala Carte food takes a long time to come out and could be improved.

+: Lovely comfortable rooms with all the mod cons.The garden in and around the pool were beautiful and very inviting.The breakfast in the restaurant was amazing. There was so much choice, it was difficult to decide what to eat and what not to.

-: The food preparation time from the a la carte restaurant in the bar area was exceptionally long. More staff needed here to speed up the food service.

+: The swimming pool was clean and warm. Breakfast was excellent with loads of choice. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was well situated on the beach close to restaurants and a couple of bars. The communal areas had nice sofas and plenty of sun beds and grassed areas for relaxation.

+: Nice staff. Large windows overlooking the ocean in our room. Well designed pool and bar area. What more can you want from a relaxing resort?

-: Some deterioration of rooms and amenities typical to a damp environment should be attended to more frequently. For example the toilet faucet was dripping a bit and it was hard to completely shut off.

+: The pool. The cleaners who cleaned our room made it special with an elephant made out of towels and frangipani flowers.Also the lady making the hoppers at breakfast always had a smile on her face. And kids loved the croquet game run by staff.

-: No reply to messages sent 1 month before arrival and also no reply to browns hotel email when tried to contact directly. We found this strange as we had booked a lot of other hotels throughout Sri lanka who had all replied to messages.Also on arrival they tried to put us in a lessor room then one we had booked and it only had beds for 3 people not 4. When we raised this on entering the room we were taken back to reception and then told our room had been overbooked and we could have lessor room then move to one we booked next day. After back and forth we finally spoke with resort manager who then upgraded us to the bungalow which was very nice.

+: Magnifique plage, lits et chambres confortables, personnel très avenant, cuisine plutôt bonne, belle piscine.

-: Bel hôtel mais un peu vieillot, qui mériterait une rénovation : meubles qui ont un peu vécu. Salle de bains propre mais qui pourrait être rafraichie. Matelas de piscine abimés et sales Gros bémol : Voie ferrée juste derrière l'hôtel avec des trains qui passent dès 6h du matin, donc bruyant.
