Located in the town of Tissamaharama, Elephant Reach is a 2.4 km drive, south from Colombo. The eco-friendly hotel offers an outdoor pool, restaurant and rooms with a DVD player.
This nature resort is situated near the Yala National Park and is spread across 4 acres of land. Other nearby attractions includes the historic towns of Kataragama, Kirinda and Sithulpahuwa.
Featuring wooden decor and floors, air-conditioned rooms are equipped with a 20-inch TV, minibar and tea/coffee maker. The spacious bathroom offers hot and cold water.
Elephant Reach offers free private parking, a bar and laundry facilities. A children's play area is available. Tours and day trips can be arranged to various nature parks and attractions.

+: Great natural beaches in Kirinda and Yala Park close by. Solid breakfast buffet after 3 days no varieties, for 8$ pretty basic. Nice garden. Fast and comfy checkin experience. Concierge very helpful.
-: Pool is huge, filter system seems not to work properly due to water is not clear. Restaurant and HK team is very friendly and smiling trying their best. Unfortunately the english and service level is not on point for a 4☆ hotel. This can be improved by a better process and training of your staff. The outstanding service, restaurant and bar promised on your website was rather mediocre. Staff Training could improve the whole guest experience e.g. clear and proactive room service dine in offers, order process, digital menu via qr code or on website, clear comunication to customer on the phone, not 3 forwarded calls to order something and then be visited by staff in person to take order at the room, complicated and frustrating. Little detail but the correct english on a resto menu should be standard on a 4☆ level - misguiding infos or typing errors, words who are just not english do not help to give a professional impression. Maybe change old landline phones to whatsapp channel to order and communicate with reception and resto... higher management not visible on site [for guests] - there is maybe another hint for improvement which motivates staff.

+: Die Zimmer waren toll. Zusätzlich konnte man Affen im Hotel entdecken, wann sieht man denn schonmal sowas!
-: Das Frühstück hat uns leider nicht geschmeckt und die Lage des Hotels war nicht empfehlenswert. Zum Strand wäre es länger als die angegeben 500m gewesen und außerhalb etwas zu essen zu finden, zeigte sich auch als eher schwierig.
