Golden Star Beach Hotel brings out the charm of Dutch and Portuguese influence, and is a 15-minute drive from Bandaranaike International Airport. It offers an outdoor pool and free Wi-Fi.

+: Great location, lovely hotel and fabulous staff. Very friendly and helpful and returned an apple watch to us when we hadn't even realised we'd forgotten it. Would highly recommend and would definitely use it again

+: We booked this hotel to end our stay in Sri Lanka. The beach facing room was amazing. So nice to hear the waves from the room. We watched the best sun set from the beach a few steps from the room. Location is fab. The room was huge. Pool was lovely. Just need some umbrellas as there’s not much shade around the pool. In the morning there is shade on the grassy areas. Staff are helpful and when the WiFi didn’t work from our room staff came straight away with a booster solved the issue.
-: It wasn’t the cleanest but overall the whole of Sri Lanka had this. It’s not the same standards as the Uk for cleanliness. We didn’t have any outdoor furniture outside our room.
