The beach resort of Pigeon Island is located north of Trincomalee. It offers rooms and suites with a private balcony, an outdoor pool and a fitness center.
Pigeon Island Resort is located near the town of Nilaveli, 6 hours drive from Colombo International Airport.
The modernly decorated rooms at the Pigeon Island Resort are air-conditioned and have a private bathroom with a hairdryer. Tea and coffee making facilities and a minibar are also provided. Some rooms have a sea view.
At the resort, guests can play billiards or table tennis. You can also try water sports such as diving and snorkeling. Pigeon Island Resort organizes various excursions and activities such as whale or dolphin watching.

+: Die Zimmer waren groß, mit einem schönen Bad und eine Balkon mit Meerblick. Die Lage direkt am Strand war wunderschön und lud zum frühmorgendlichen Bad bei Sonnenaufgang ein. Das Frühstück wr üppig, - es gab sowohl einheimisches als auch europäisches Frühstück auf dem Büffet und alles schmeckte lecker. Das Personal kümmerte sich sehr aufmerksam.

+: have used this hotel many times over the past 10 years , the room we get given 301 is ideal for us , the location is wonderful with a fantastic beach
-: the hotel is starting to become very tired and dated ,requires a lot of work , new towels and bedding would are required ,half the kitchen equipment is faulty or does not work , leading to cold or re-heated food served which is charged at premium rates over priced, so we eat out, not enough sun beds when the hotel is only half full , 20 sun beds and around 50 rooms do the maths, no gym, no beach bar and no ayuvada service which are all advertised on the PIBR webb page.

+: The venue is very nice, private beach, a big pool, a clean room and the helpful staff.
-: Pricey for the value it offers! It ranges from a 4-star hotel, but is not! internet not working in the rooms, I don't like the restaurant options and they offered average food.
