From the Malé International Airport to the Chaaya Reef Ellaidhoo hotel you can get by seaplane or by boat. The flight on the seaplane takes 25 minutes, the boat ride is 1.5 hours.

+: The friendly staff, incredible reef life, green credentials, food variety, small resort, beautiful rooms, it was all excellent. We were delighted with our choice after a lot of research into possible resorts. We loved the welcome talk and tour of the back of house set up. Great cocktails and entertainment.

+: Breakfast is buffet and was very nice. The A La Cart restaurant was excellent. The room was lovely and a big thank you to our cleaner Bilal. Lovely happy guy that always cleaned our room to a high standard.
-: After being on the go for 24hrs we arrived at Male airport. It was another 4:5hrs until we bordered the float plane. This was far too long a wait. To make it worse the sea plane terminal has a coffee lounge with free coffee and snacks. We were asked to leave as Ellaidhoo do not pay for the lounge. We were the only people out of about 150 not allowed in. The white wine at the evening buffet and bar was only ever room temperature. Always nicely chilled at the A La Cart restaurant though.

+: Cleaning twice a day, perfect view, snorkeling area very nice , you can see many beautiful fish. Food and drink is average.
-: 1. Around cement dame broken sea view, but they have to do that.2. Only complain for staff is snorkeling person, not friendly and professional.

+: -Small and compact island resort -All is very clean and you walk everyhere barefoot -Food is magical - pure gourmet in the AlaCarte restaurant - AllInclusive alchohol is also very good - white wine and cocktails were the best - best diving and shnorkeling experience i have ever had - the reef is very close and there are thousands of fish, including sharks and dolphins - there is a diving centre on the island - we were upgraded free of charge with beach villa for the first 2 days
-: Very minor remarks: - on the main restaurant, there were tables by the beach, but we were only permited to use them only for breakfast - island is about 70km from Male airport, and speed boat transfer is OK (about 1 hour) if the sea is calm, but when sea is stormy, experiance is not very pleasent. If stormy, they must use hydro plane.
