+: The property is beautiful it’s stunning, wild well kept and makes you really feel like you are in nature
-: The food was just ok… I think they could do a little better especially since it’s so expensive to eat here

+: Beach front restaurants were awesome! All the options on the resort were amazing. We biked all around and took cooking classes!!

+: The Faimont Mayakoba is a stunning hotel with every thing you could think of at a resort hotel! It has an amazing rooftop cocktail bar called Cielo that is perfect for pre-dinner Sunset drinks or a night cap by the open fire pits. The resort is incredibly big but we used the numerous bikes provided to travel around with ease. Also, the beauty of Mayakoba is that you can visit all 4 resorts and dine at each one. Very keen to come back and stay at one of the other resorts next time!
-: The Fairmont has a number of pools to cater to your liking, however the main pool by the beach had a limited number of beds which had all been reserved with towels early on in the day. As a result, it was impossible to enjoy this pool at all during our stay, In addition, there are so many kids at this resort, so if you are looking for a peaceful holiday you may want to try another hotel.

+: This was our first time in the Mayakoba area and our stay at the Fairmont was wonderful. It was a great mix of relaxation and fun activities, and a perfect safe, beautiful and special experience for my college daughter and me to enjoy a week together. The included buffet breakfast was very good and we had a wonderful experience at the Korean bbq restaurant and enjoyed drinks at the Cielo rooftop bar. We also enjoyed going to the other hotels for new dinner options. We recommend signing up for the complementary lagoon boat tour early in your trip to see the entire property and wildlife. We enjoyed our snorkeling outing that left from the beach. Overall we had a great motherdaughter week.
-: We did not sign-up for the all inclusive package because we are not big eaters, but the cost of food and drink was incredibly expensive. It was not made clear at check-in whether our included breakfast also included gratuity (which I think it did?), and we were always asked for additional tip each morning. The spa was very nice but again extremely expensive. It was also a bit difficult to get preferred times for dinner reservations each night, unless you booked several days in advance. We also wish there were more bikes available around the property. This was the easiest way to get to around the property and to the beach (which was a 20 min walk from our room), but bikes were often in short supply. With all this said, we would definitely go back to the Fairmont Mayakoba.
