Tours and prices for holidays at the hotel Las Nubes Holbox 4* 2024-2025 Mexico, Cancun

+: Location is unbelievable, in the best part of the island right on the sea. Having breakfast every morning looking at the sea was priceless.The rooms are ample and comfortable.

-: The hotel is generally run down. It needs a massive renovation. The reception workers are so lost, they don’t provide accurate information nor try to get answers for you.They tried to charged us $1000 deposit for food and drinks at the hotel during our 2 night stay. We found this extravagant at the very least. We managed to not pay anything at the end. The room came with with a very strong chemical smell which was hard to get rid of during the stay. More hammocks or day beds around the pool area are needed.

+: lieu paradisiaque, au bord du banc de sable de punta Mosquito, il suffit de traverser le petit bras de mer à pied, et on y est. Personnel très serviable, bons cocktails, excellent room service (on peut se faire servir où on veut dans le jardin), plutôt commander sur la carte de snacking (très bon ceviche) que sur celle du restaurant (cher, dommage qu'on propose du saumon à la carte au mexique ;) ). trois adorables piscines. très très peu de clients quand nous y étions. très très calme.

-: la plage de l'hotel était impraticable (énormément de sargasses qui n'avaient pas été retirées) + un batiment abandonné en cours de construction, nous n'y sommes jamais allés. les odeurs d'égout au bout de l'ile.

+: First the positives – Las Nubes has a great location, almost at the furthest point east from Holbox town, where accommodation has exploded in the last 10 years or so. So it's pretty peaceful, even though this means you have quite a long walk or bumpy taxi ride if you want to get into town. Most rooms, including ours, have beautiful sea views, and you can walk straight off the terrace onto Holbox's endless, bizarrely shallow beach and the sandbar alongside, where you can 'walk on water'. And the food for dinner (not so much for breakfast) was exceptional - especially fish and seafood.

-: Las Nubes seems to have a management problem. A week before our arrival Holbox had been hit by a tropical storm, and we fully understand this creates problems – part of the deck was off-limits waiting to be fixed – but management seemed to insist everything was 'normal' when it wasn't. Two pools in the grounds were clearly unusable, presumably due to the storm, but no one bothered to tell us. Reception appeared bizarrely disconnected from the maintenance staff – when we arrived we had no hot water in the showers, and this went on for two days while reception told us they would tell maintenance about it – in a hotel of this size, surely they could just have spoken to each other directly? With other requests it was just as hard to get an answer. And the only information available in reception was about their own spa treatments – for anything else, trips around Holbox, etc, you were on your own. A pity, because Las Nubes has a lot of attractions.

+: Wir hatten die „Master Suite“ im ersten OG ganz am Ende der Anlage. Die Suite hat einen großen und einen kleinen Balkon, sowie ein separates, großes Wohnzimmer. Top ist der Blick aus der Badewanne im Schlafzimmer auf den Strand zum Sonnenuntergang! Exzellenter Startpunkt für die Wanderung auf die Sandbank. …und um die vielen Leute zu beobachten, die ihre Wanderung bei Flut beginnen und hilflos im Wasser stehen :)

-: Insgesamt schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, so wie vieles auf Holbox. Man muss wissen, dass das Hotel zu Fuß ca 30 Minuten vom Zentrum entfernt ist. Etwas zu teuer für die Leistung

+: Aunque fue un poco accidentado el acceso a la playa debido al Sargazo abundante asociado al frente frio de la primera semana de febrero 2024, la realidad es que nuestra estancia en la máster suite las hamacas fue excepcional, la vista y la tranquilidad de la habitación, la amplitud, el servicio a la habitación, la cercanía de los bancos de arena para ir caminando hacia punta mosquito, etc. La anfitriona Lorena nos recibió y despidió de manera amena y profesional, excelente atención por parte de René para el servicio de alimentos en la habitación y de José en el desayuno.

-: La tina de hidromasaje no funcionó, la alberca principal estaba en mantenimiento, y había áreas comunes en reparación, sin embargo, lo considero como situaciones menores teniendo en cuenta las adversidades climáticas que padeció la isla en las semanas previas.
