Built on the site of an 18th-century monastery, this stylish hotel features a striking hilltop location overlooking Bodrum Bay. The original stone gate dominates the tree-framed outdoor pool area.
Manastir Hotel’s à la carte restaurant has a glass-walled dining room, where guests can enjoy Turkish delicacies along with international cuisine. The on-site bar with poolside tables and a room service provide drinks and snacks throughout the day.
The spacious, air-conditioned rooms of the Manastir Hotel have charming wooden balconies surrounded by bougainvilleas, a seating area and flat-screen TVs with satellite channels. Some include an exclusive hydro-massage bath looking over the Aegean Sea.

+: The rooms were spacious and the view from the balcony was fantastic.
-: For a hotel this old and well rated, you’d expect better service. Right from the checkin experience to our checkout the service was pathetic. I’m usually not someone who rates poorly without a reason. Here I have not one but several 1. You ask for anything and it never comes back. We called for water and soap with no one turning up. 2. There is a renovation going on - so we put up with a drilling noise for most of the afternoon 3. Of the few nights we’ve been spending now in Turkey, this hotel’s breakfast was the most underwhelming, juice is chargeable in the morning buffet! 4. It took several times a technician to check the room for a strange loud whistling noise from the AC. 5. Cockroach in the room 6. At checkout when I asked if there’s luggage assistance, I was told my husband is already taking it out to the car!!

+: Breakfast was excellent. The location was extraordinary with a wonderful view at the harbor. The room had a big terrace with sea view, where you could admire the sunset.

+: Lovely continental style breakfast with a choice of hot and cold food. Clean bareating outdoor area, Our room with small patio over looking the infinity pool, again lovely views.
-: Can't really fault this place for what you pay. Steep hill down to town and bars, 5-10 mins, not for the faint hearted to walk back up, although there are taxis outside the hotel and bottom of the hill, wouldn't stop me booking again though!
