+: The location was perfect. Beautiful resort, very cleaned, really a resort reminiscent of Africa :) a lot of people taking care about the gardens and resort, lovely beach and the sea. I saw fish and starfish. Lots of greenery, beautiful huge Baobabs in the resort. Sufficient choice for breakfast and dinner. Always smiling people, in Hakuna Matata mode :-) If you have all inclusive, you have good choice for alcoholic+non-alcoholic drinks, ice-cream, nuts... Electricity seemed to be out especially in the evening, but it didn't make any problem. No mosquitoes during the whole stay in the resort!

-: Breakfast was good, but I missed better choice of vegetables. Even when the vegetables were covered, there were flies or other insects sometimes. I missed the napkins :) I always had to ask. The coffee was bad through the breakfast, later at the beach bar was better. Staff was slowly , but it is normal in Africa - "Pole pole" for everything. Our room (garden room) was not cleaned daily enough and towels were still missing, but they were always delivered after a phone call to reception. Small lizards in the house, I had to overcome my fear, but I managed everything :) The beach could have more free sunbeds in high season (febr.-march).

+: The best thing about this property is its location on the beautiful beach and the beach was not crowded. The sea was also excellent, you can always swim, also great for children. The property was clean, the garden was nice, the baobabs were charming, staff, and security kind to us. The food and drinks were tasty but nothing special, the kids did not eat much. All together, it was an enjoyable stay.

-: The main value here comes from the location and beauty of the beach. But that's the way it is. Family rooms are older, but spacious with 2 showers. Airocn was sufficient. I would say it is a bit overpriced hotel.

+: The manager of the restaurant Abbas (sorry, if I am not using correctly his name) was very nice, helpful, and friendly. All staff actually, but he seemed interested about the guests in the hotel.

+: Die Lage vom Hotel ist sehr schön, mit einem traumhaften Strandzugang und wunderschönem Meer vor der Tür. Der Strandabschnitt ist nur für Hotel-Gäste und die Security kontrolliert, dass die Beach Boys nicht zu aufdringlich werden. In wenigen Gehminuten sind gute Restaurants und Shops vorhanden. Das Frühstücks-Buffet im Hotel ist gross und lecker. Das Zimmer (Baobab Garden) ist gross genug für drei Personen und das Bad ziemlich modern. Das Personal an der Rezeption ist stets bemüht. Wir durften etwas an die Rezeption liefern lassen, da wir an diesem Tag unterwegs waren. Dafür sind wir sehr dankbar. Reklamationen wurden entgegen und meistens ernst genommen.

-: Leider sind wir aber von unserem Aufenthalt mehr als enttäuscht und wir können all die positiven Kommentare nicht nachvollziehen. Für das bezahlte Geld haben wir uns viel mehr Qualität erhofft. Das Zimmer war bei unserer Ankunft noch nicht bereit, dass war ok weil wir waren zu früh. 1,5 Stunden nach unserer Ankunft - zur gewohnten Check-In-Zeit um 14:00 - war das Zimmer noch immer nicht für uns bereit. Nach erneuter Nachfrage konnten wir das Zimmer dann um 14:15 beziehen. Leider waren die Bettlacken nass und der Safe funktionierte nicht. Nach reklamieren wurden die Betten neu bezogen und beim Safe wurde uns erklärt, dass nur die Hälfte der Ziffern funktionieren - sehr vertrauenswürdig. Die Klimaanlage war aus Verzweiflung auf 17 Grad eingestellt, es war jedoch kaum kühler als vor der Zimmertür. Auch auf Nachfrage hat sich bis am dritten Tag nichts daran geändert, dann war sie ganz kaputt und wurde doch noch repariert. Die Duschtücher wurden jeweils morgens entfernt und mehrmals vergessen zu ersetzen. Nach Anruf an der Rezeption kamen die Tücher rasch, jedoch von der Anzahl her nicht ausreichend für die Zimmerbelegung. Die Gartenarbeiten starten um 07:30, danach ist Schlafen unmöglich. Die Liegestuhl-Situation ist verheerend. Es hat viel zu wenig Schatten und die Liegestühle sind bereits früh morgens alle mit Handtücher reserviert. Es hätte ausreichend Platz für zusätzliche Sonnenschirme, dies zu ändern scheint jedoch keine Priorität zu haben. Wir hatten kein AI und gehörten damit zur Minderheit, was wir am Verhalten der Mitarbeiter auch manchmal bemerkten. Das Management hat sich soeben bei uns entschuldigt, nachdem sie unsere Bewertung gelesen haben. Vielen Dank dafür und den offertierten Lunch. Wir hoffen nun, dass das Feedback umgesetzt wird. Die Location hat ganz klar Potential. Wir waren 2 Wochen in Tansania unterwegs und waren in 7 Hotels. Das Sandies ist unter den zwei schlechtesten, was für diesen Preis eine absolute Enttäuschung und nicht akzeptabel ist.
