+: Staff were polite and friendly. Showed me where the metro station was. Bed was pretty comfy, air con was nice.

-: When I arrived, there was a 5 minute wait while the staff were speaking about my booking (fine), they then told me there was a problem with my room and that I’d be moved to another. After waiting another 15 minutes, I got put into a room across the street which looked ok, until I tried to have a shower, which trickled out. Having travelled overnight and sweat profusely, all I wanted was a nice shower and a clean bad. So, pretty bad start… but it gets worse. I then see some sort of insect in the bathroom, I disregard it and think it’s just one of those things, but no. As I come out, I see a cockroach on the floor, which I kill. I look up and see 2 more on the bedside table 🥲 I told the staff this and although they were actually very helpful and nice on the most part, one of them sort of laughed it off as if it wasn’t even a big deal. He then left and came back with insect spray… at which point I’d had enough and explained I simply can’t sleep in a dirty room with cockroaches everywhere… I got moved to a bigger, “cleaner” room, at which point I was fed up but assumed this would be the end of it. Nope - in the night I see another one. Grim. The TV also had a plug which didn’t even reach the socket… what’s the point??? The wifi was mostly ok, although just randomly stopped working altogether for a good few hours one night. The bathroom light stopped working and just started flickering, the bathroom fan also just decided to start making a horrific noise when I attempted to turn it on. The hallways and stairs are filled with dirty mattresses and random chairs, boxes and other objects. I know this is the cheaper option for a city like Dubai, but I’d recommend that anyone avoids this place. Spend the extra money if you can, you do NOT want to stay here.
