+: The breakfast was great. The service at the restaurant was 10 out of 10. The front desk staff was great as well. Vasili was very nice and very professional

-: I have stayed at many hotels, but that was the first time I stayed at a hotel when I got in the ready to shower, there was no soap. I had call the front desk and waited around 10mins before someone came to replenish the soap dispenser. I had a 3 nights stay, on the last night when I was about to shower there was no soap again. Very desapointing

+: The location was perfect for us. The room is beautiful and spacious, its view was spectacular. The pool was supper clean, and we spent more time in it than anywhere else. Made to order breakfast is delicious, fantastic range and perfect view. The same space uses the Galea restaurant in the evening – a MUST for foodies. We enjoyed the music playing in the restaurant on our balcony and in our room but could close the windows which are well soundproof. Only a few steps from a great beach and a very short ride from other nice beaches. The Staff is attentive, accommodating and welcoming.

+: Le calme absolu dans la suite Ambre. Exposée face à la mer. Petite piscine 2 transat c'était super pour passer un moment de détente. Literie très confortable. Le petit déj au top 👌, le bar de l hôtel ( cocktail à tomber), le restaurant génial. Le tout avec une très jolie vue. Emplacement sur une zone balnéaire bar, resto, petit supermarché, boutique souvenir tout y est .

+: The hotel looks really nice. Unfortunately the management of this property doesnt seem right

-: We found the room dirty at check in. We wanted to call the reception but there is no note no book no nothing related to what number we should call. Same for room service. There is no pillow menu so even if the room was quite nice and the bed big and confortable, without the right pillow was difficult to sleep. Maybe there was a pillow menu at the hotel , but again no number to call to ask for it... Every morning we were woken up by the cleaners literally pounding on the door even though the "do not disturb" sign was on. This really pissed me off each and every morning. Once again, room was nice, staff was bad ... but even so this can not be classified as a 5 stars hotel. It just doesn't have the amenities required for a 5 star room. The plunge pool was cold , ice cold even if outside was warm. They mention on the website that they have a heating system that they use on april and may. My suggestion would be to offer the option to heat it for some guests. For us it was ice cold and unusable. We paid almost 3000 Euros for a 4 night stay, I am 100% sure there are better options on the island.

+: The room with the pool was great, the view was amazing, the staff unique, breakfast was good.

-: It can't be said that I don't like something, but a little constructive criticism doesn't hurt. 1) there was no iron in the room, I might have gotten one if I had asked for it, but I didn't 2) I would have expected to have more toiletries, for example a comb, earplugs or a toothbrush. That was not in the room. 3) the hotel should probably fix the fact that the door to the balcony can get stuck, even when the door is in the open position, this happened to me and I had to wade through the pool and lean over the railing in only a wet towel and call to the people in the restaurant for someone to come and open it for me 😀 Pretty embarrassing 😀 4) Only two of the six nozzles in the pool were working, so if I wasn't there alone, the other person would probably be upset that his massage nozzle wasn't working

+: Sea view rooms have an absolutely fantastic view - it's better than being on the beach. Breakfast food made to order is fantastic and so is the view (which is also the Galea restaurant in the evening - be sure to check the amazing dinner there!). Room is large and comfortable, as is the balcony with the plunge pool. The plunge pool is an amazing amenity after a hot day out. Staff is friendly, attentive, and accommodating and did much to make our stay as great as possible. In Agia Pelagia a few steps from the hotel you will find pretty much anything you need on daily basis. If you are staying longer than 2-3 days however, unless you want just to chill on the amazing balcony, I suggest to rent a car - the hotel is well positioned to explore Heraklion and the surrounding area.

-: My biggest pet peeve is the shower cabin, and I've seen the same problem in low end and high end hotels - why doesn't it have a curtain or a door?? Just a glass panel that covers one corner of the shower, so naturally you make a wet mess in the entire bathroom while showering (even if you're really careful, you'll still spill water outside of the shower). For a vacation hotel, breakfast could be extended to 11 AM. Also, it would be great to be able to adjust the temperature in the plunge pool for each room separately.
