+: The service was really nice -- we went during the offseason so they were running a bare-bones crew - but it did not feel like it. Mr Sajith and his team of Manjula and Lalantha went out of their way to make our stay special. From waiting at the gate to make sure it was open when we arrived to make sure that we had enough coffee on hand. The location was fantastic. Ahangama is not known for its beaches compared to its neighbours a few minutes down the road. But we thought the beaches were great. It was a little choppy due to the off-season but the water was pristine and it was really nice. Spent hours just soaking up the waves and the sun.

+: It's great that Surf Station is situated right on the spot of Sticks a well – known consistent surf break in Ahangama. You can wake up early in the morning, grab your board, and be in the water within minutes. Plus, you can take breaks throughout the day to relax at the hotel, enjoy the pool or have a meal at the restaurant before heading back to the waves. Overall, having Sticks surf break right on your doorstep makes Surf Station an even more appealing destination for surfers looking to catch some great waves and have a memorable surf trip. Sajith, the manager of the hotel, went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best stay. He made recommendations and arrangements for our activities. He was always willing to help and that added a lot to the overall appeal of Surf Station as a top-notch surf hotel in Ahangama.

+: The staff we so kind and very welcoming, they went above and beyond for us. The room was incredible and premise we super clean. Food was great and the oat pancakes were delicious…… Yummmm. I will 100% be back:-) To top it off the footage of surfing was super cool aswel.

+: Beautiful location. Good standard of rooms. Friendly staff. Adapters provided. However, two out of three were just multi plugs, not usable as adapters. Nice pool.

-: Lots of staff running around but unclear who was in charge of what. Very long waiting time for food in restaurant that was then served cold, despite no other or very few guests. Also breakfast took a long time to be served and was quite frugal. Communal areas kept very clean but rooms were never made, not even the trash was emptied. No bed tables nor reading lights by the beds. Service fees and charges added to bill according our booking. Then an extra service charge was added to the bill without explanation, when asked about it, it was “voluntary”.

+: Fantastic stay at the surf station. It’s an oasis within a very central location of ahanagana and access onto Kabalana beach. The pool and grass area is exactly as the pictures show, the rooms big and clean, and finally the staff are great. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Special shout out to my man Sajie, the manager. He was class and went above and beyond to decorate our room for us as it was our honeymoon, arrange transport and answer any questions we had. Would highly recommend this property! Great value for money.
