+: Nothing absolutely Nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-: Where to start? So from the beginning when we checked in we been informed that we have to pay extra charges. When we booked a room for one night we had total price on Booking.com $54 included tax and extra charges but when we arrived we had to pay extra 28% of extra charges (18% VAT + 10% Service charge 🙄) that information doesn't appear on Booking.com before you booked your room, you can fid information about that after when your booking is confirmed so you don't know te full price before. So as I mention before we should pay $54 but finally we had to pay $75 which is absolutely joke. I will contact Booking.com about that hiding costs because in my opinion it's a scam. I used Booking.com from 8 years already and never ever had the sytucion like that. Sometimes you have room price plus taxes and extra charges and I'm cool with that but when extra costs appeared after when you booked you room when you been told your total price you have to pay another 28% of the price that's a joke in our case it was $20 dollars more. Let's start with the room No hot water, dirty bedsheets no fringe (fringe should be in the room that's what Booking.com said ) we report the fridge they brought us one, in the morning we realised that fridge didn't work 😑 hahaha. Stay in this place was absolutely jome and I'm talking about just one night I'm feeling sorry for people who have to stay there for week or longer. Coming back to the bedsheets is not like they been just dirty you could see it nobody washed them for a long time. Plus lots of hair on it brrrrr disgusting disgusting. Please avoid this palce big time. Staff was helpful but they exactly nows what was going on in this hotel. They closing hot water so when we complained about it they come and turned on. Please 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 avoid this place. Horrible Horrible stay 😪

+: The place has restaurants nearby and the beach across the road. The best is the roof terrace breakfast area with a beautiful view

-: I was not impressed how the handled my booking. At first I was charged one night, then I had to pay for a 2nd the next day, which was ok, but I was not using it much and they had an early checking option and could at least have offered a reduction for the first night, where I arrive only at 4 am in the morning. The place has a pool, but unfortunately it is in front of the hotel and all guests entering are walking past it and the busy road just behind the wall, which is not allowing any relaxation at the pool. The beach was also not nice and clean

+: When the air conditioning worked it was good. The customer service was direct, pleasantries were skipped but when there was an issue with the air con in my room at 1am. I had 2 staff assist and bring a large industrial fan that sounded and felt like a prop plane. So i was able to be cool in the night. When you ask for things the staff are quick to go retrieve that requedted item on request of the manager. First bed was not confortbale. Had to remove a lizard from it. Second bed in the delux room was lovely. I didnt ger the breakfast so i cant say how good it is - On the morning after the air con broke I reveived a call from front desk asking if i was doing breakfast, if i am i have to pay. I said no thank you - the call wasnt a regular occurance which was good. My stay was like an adventure. It all felt like an episode of Fawlty Towers. With 2 Basil Fawltys and a couple Manuels. I wanted to get exercise while i was visiting - so each day i would walk the 30min along the road towards negombo town to “the port restaurant” which is a beach bar and rastaurant on the beach itself. And then get a motorcycle ride back to the hotel and it would be like another episode of entertainment. I enjoyed the personalities at the hotel. The function and asthetics need some better attention.

-: There is no gym from what i coukd find. Its not on the right side of the road to be beach front and you need to be on the higher floors to get the beach views. Room was orginally on 3rd floor - Lack of attention to detail regarding handtowels, towels, a bath matt and soaps. There was an exepectation to ask if anything was missing. A fair few things were missing but i just used my travel ones. Air con broke at 1am. After making a call to reception a fan was provided and the next day I changed rooms but advised its a delux suite and felt there was an indication that i was getting special treatment which ia great. New room floor 5 - had a weird internal frosted window. Property feels half finished the delaux room i was given - automatic door bell mechanism was exposed. This room needed an old school key which i prefer. towel rails not fixed to the walls properly. Again lacking hand towel bath matt etc. No shower just bath with retractable shower head. Worked with what i had. During the day on 2 occassions. Someone looked through the frosted internal window - on investigation - there was an open doorway leading to the empty space behind the frosted windows. Its public. Same vibes as at a resort someone walking past your front window but still alarming. If you mind the sound of the elevator dinging at each floor through the night, the door alarm of someones electronic door lock beeping when they havent closed their door properly at 4am and left in a taxi already to the airport (staff quickly turned it off) and the faint noise of the reception phone ringing while you call to advise your aircon has broken. Then i suggest pack airplugs for this hotel. None of this overshaddowed the wonderful time i had in Negombo.

-: Bijna alles. Er is meestal geen wifi. Ik had een upgrade gekregen via booking.com met luxe kamer met uitzicht op zee. Bij aankomst gave ze me een gewone kamer met uitzicht op de weg en huizen. Na klagen kreeg ik de honeymoonsuite maar er was geen wc papier, de huistelefoon deed t niet, de haardroger was kapot dus die was er niet meer,geen wifi, geen douche mat, eerste nacht geen warm water. Sowieso pisstraaltje kwam uit de douche kop. De kamer bevindt zich direct onder restaurant waar ze smorgens om 5.15 al beginnen met schuiven meubels en 's avonds tot 23.00u keiharde muziek draaien. Voorgerecht en hoofdgerecht worden tegelijk geserveerd.Op de kamer is niets over regels en mogelijkheden. De kamer wordt alleen schoongemaakt als je erom vraagt maar dat vertellen ze je niet.

+: Breakfast was good. There were plenty of options including omelette cooked to your liking. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Mr Asoka tried to help us locate our luggage which failed to make our flight. He was also kind and lent us his adapter charger so that we had the use of our phone and iPad when our luggage had not arrived.
