+: We stayed for 2nights at Sielen Diva in the beautiful Mora room. Located on the corner of the first floor, it’s a jaw droppingly large room, with floor-to-ceiling windows and an incredible bathroom. The view of the water and the sound of the waves from the gigantic windows is magical. The ac was strong and effective. Much needed in Unnawatuna’s heat. The bed was large and comfortable. The room is spacious and the size of some apartments. The bathroom is probably the best that I’ve stayed at in the world! Light, and spacious. With a powerful shower where water falls from the 11ft ceiling. As there are just 7 rooms, the property never feels busy. There are plenty of dining areas and is a fairly private experience. Food at this boutique hotel is a highlight. The menu is delightful and food is delicious. Prices are a tad high for Sri Lanka, but not overly so from an international perspective. The pool is warm and spacious. And due to few guests, you can have the pool to yourself most of the time. There’s a clean private beach on the property. The seas were rough, but was fine for some beach photos. The games room is well-equipped with a pool table, football table, darts board, weights, board games, books and more. It’s very hot though and we couldn’t see a fan or ac. Overall we had a great stay, and wished we could stay longer.

+: Wir hatten ursprünglich 3 Nächte gebucht, haben dann noch eine Nacht verlängert und sind am Ende unserer Reise nochmals 2 Nächte zurückgekommen weil es uns so gefallen hat. Die Villa ist ein Traum, ein kleines Boutique Hotel mit nur 7 tollen Zimmern, das unsere Erwartungen mehr als übertroffen hat. Direkt am Strand mit toller Architektur und großartigem Ausblick hat uns Sielen Diva fast nicht mehr los gelassen. Das Zimmer war sehr groß mit einem echt tollen Bad und sehr stilvoll eingerichtet. Das Personal ist großartig, vor allem Wasantha der Manager ist sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und spricht sogar Deutsch. Auch das Essen war wirklich sehr gut, vom Frühstück über die extrem guten Tacos und lokale Spezialitäten bis hin zur Seafood Platte waren wir begeistert. Wir haben auch einen Kochkurs zu lokalem Essen mit dem Chefkoch persönlich gemacht, ist wirklich sehr zu empfehlen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

+: The Villa was wonderful. Our stay exceeded our expectations and whilst the amenities, pool and beach were wonderful, it was the Sielen Diva team who made our stay so memorable and wonderful. The team were incredible, the level of service they gave was outstanding. There is only a small number of staff (10) who are all incredibly passionate about their jobs and giving their guests the best stay possible. The food was also delicious and due to this we chose to eat at the Villa each day, apart from lunch at Turtle Beach and an evening meal whilst watching the sunset at nearby Galle. The food was made fresh and you could tell all the ingredients were sourced locally. The chef spoke to us a few times and again he was so passionate about the dishes he was creating. The menu had a wide range of options, it was very varied. I opted for the fish or seafood most days, The Chilli Crab, Baked Fish in Banana leaf and Hot Butter Squid were my favourites. On our last night, the chef prepared a special prawn dish for us, with fresh local bread. Food and drinks were more expensive than other hotels we stayed at, however considering the quality of dishes we were happy to pay. Breakfast was included and there was a wide variety of options available. Each breakfast started with fresh fruit, coffee, breads and freshly squeezed fruit juice. This is a small Villa, with just seven rooms so it is extremely relaxing and peaceful. We stayed for five nights and at times, the Villa felt like our own private place. It has a homely feel and we were genuinely very sad when we left. The villa is away from Unawatuna beach and Galle but there are local restaurants nearby, if you don’t want to eat in the Villa. Turtle beach is a short walk away, walking along the road. We honestly could not say one bad thing about the Villa or the team. Thank you to George and the team for making us feel so welcome and for taking care of us so well.

-: Nothing, 5 star Villa and service! If you are looking for a lively place to stay, this is not for you. But if you want somewhere luxurious but homely to relax and recharge, this is the perfect place!

+: Ocean Queen Room is just a dream level room so spacious and well equipped the bathroom is amazing ! The bed is right in front of the sea with a massive glass so you can enjoy the view all day long and night ! The pool and the beach areas is amazing !!! Really loved the stay is a must and the Spa, massage team was great, relaxing!!

+: Sehr, sehr freundliches Personal. Sehr gute Küche (und saubere Küche!, man konnte alles bedenkenlos essen). Baden am Strand war 100m neben dem Hotel problemlos möglich. Turtle Beach ca. 500-1000m entfernt. Auf jeden Wunsch wurde eingegangen (mussten um 06:00 morgens wegen Flug abreisen und haben trotzdem um 05:30 noch ein Frühstück bekommen!). Ankommen, Kopf ausschalten und aufs Meer gucken, dafür ist man dort genau richtig.

-: Die Ausstattung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber alles funktioniert einwandfrei.
