+: Everything was perfect but the standout was the staff. They went out of their way to make sure you were catered for and made you feel like part of the family. Everyone we encountered helped you with a smile on their face. We stayed in a Deluxe beach villa and had stunning views every morning. The villa itself was so spacious and had everything, particularly useful that there were numerous plug outlets in the room. We had a bottle of prosecco waiting for us on arrival. The outdoor shower was divine.All the food was beautifully prepared and portions were huge (there were often buffets for dinner). We found half board was more than enough. Standout dessert was the Baked Yoghurt! There is a huge range of activities to do plus a great gym and spa! We managed to see Dolphins, Turtles and Manta Rays. It was such a perfect stay, made only more perfect by my fiancé proposing on our strip of the beach. We'd like to thank Laurent and his team for giving us some incredible memories and we cannot wait to return.I would highly recommend this resort to anyone I know.

+: The breakfast is served in an open restaurant looking out to sea. One can choose to sit inside in the shade or outside on the terrace facing the pool. The buffet selection was very extensive and very high quality. Each morning we were greeted by the head chef and he was keen to discuss with us what we would like, just as he had been the previous night in the Japanese restaurant, the Pearl and the night before that in the Asian street food Hawker restaurant. One morning after asking for melon he said we were in luck as it had just been flown in from Dubai and it was cut and served straight away. The coffee was good, orange juice freshly squeezed. Omelette, scrambled or boiled eggs made to order all done perfectly and quickly. There was a wide variety of freshly baked bread and rolls as well as good danish pastries. I enjoyed the freshly squeezed watermelon juice on ice. During breakfast we were able to chat with the hotel manager Laurent and discuss the day ahead. We booked a tennis court with the leisure staff and talked generally about the tiny but exquisite island we were on, which comprises only the Westin resort and takes no more than 10 minutes to walk around. A cocktail evening was held on the Friday so we had a chance to chat with the other guests and play some Petanque with our American and Chinese fellow guests. This is inspired by Laurent, the hotel manager, who is passionate about making everyone on the island, guest and staff alike, feel at home. On the last night we had a Mojito and MaiTai cocktails in the Sunset bar while we watched the sun slowly set. As darkness descends the gentle crash of the waves seems to get louder. By the moonlight we could still see the fish swimming under the pontoon and watched a small shark shimmy past. It wasn't till the morning we left that we saw a baby Manta ray swim past as we waited for the seaplane to take us to the airport at Male, 30 minutes flying time to the South.

-: This is a wonderful place. The staff are from the Maldives, this is their national industry, their pride and joy. You can feel that all day as you are greeted with a smile and a wave by every single member of staff. Without the guests there is no island resort, without the staff there is no Maldives island experience. We loved everything about it and had an unforgettable experience, thank you Westin Miriandhoo!

-: Très déçue de l’hôtel The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort. Cet hôtel ne vaut absolument pas son prix. Dernière sa belle apparence sur les photos via Booking se cache une succession de défauts dont une fuite d’eau incessante au niveau de câbles dans la salle de bain, mais encore un presse orange servant de décoration mais d’aucune utilité, une piscine non chauffée, un fer à repasser non fonctionnel, des draps non repassés, les prises électriques ne fonctionnant pas correctement… Je rajoute à cela un buffet très médiocre, peu de choix, pas raffiné… Pour un tarif aussi élevé tout cela est extrêmement décevant.Je trouve cela inadmissible de ne pas avoir eu un dédommagement au vue des circonstances. Voici des photos prises par mes soins afin que vous puissiez constater par vous même. Ils vendent du rêvent au clients pour pas grand chose. Le directeur recherche uniquement à rentabiliser son établissement, il ne vous sera d’aucune utilité quelque soit la problématique ! Il ne veut que votre argent et rien d’autre. J’encourage vivement les employés à rechercher un post de travail dans un autre établissement car bon nombre d’entre eux sont exploités.

+: The price of the stay is certainly one of the more expensive ones that we have. Looking back, we will definitely make the same decision to stay in Westin. My wife and I truly enjoyed the personalised service provided. Shoutout to Dulat for attending to us during our stay. He has been most attentive and proactive to assisting us. We enjoyed his companionship. The food is fantastic and we can see variation in the menu from day to day. Quality of food is top notched. The villa is wonderful. Not just the amount of space that we have, the view is great and we can feel that it is brilliantly designed. Overall, the service by the entire crew is great. From offering cut fruits when we are at the poolside to giving us good recommendation on where we can view sunset, we really truly enjoyed our stay in Westin.

-: One area where there could be some improvement is on the return to Male airport in particular for the check in process. We waited for someone to attend to us for about 15 mins before we and other couples proceed to collect our luggage and head over to the check in counter or security side. Because of the queues, it actually becomes very tight for us and we only managed to get a quick bite before heading to the gates.
