-: The food was so bad. Buffets were always cold andor empty trays and long lines. Staff was not helpful at all. The restaurants that required reservations were impossible to get into. It seemed so crowded and understaffed the entire time.

-: Food was not good and it was nearly impossible to get reservations for other restaurant options. Not enough options for the amount of people staying at resort

+: Brilliant location, it’s has everything you need for families all within walking distance.

-: There wasn’t anything I didn’t like.

+: The property was very jungle-ish, and I don’t mean that in a good way. The rooms were dirty and I mean ants everywhere. They never stocked the mini fridge, towels were never replenished and there were raccoons all over the property.

-: The staff was incredibly rude and not helpful when asking questions. It was Nita great experience and we’ve been to playa multiple times as loved it! This resort is trash! Food was absolutely disgusting!!!!

+: We liked the animals , but the beach ocean front had rocks and was dangerous for older people like us because of the slick conditions. The wait staff and cleaning staff were excellent. The young Mayan man (Martine) who cleaned our room every day was extremely nice and very thorough. Enjoyed talking to him. The jungle atmosphere was the highlight of the trip but the horrible organization of the restaurants and check-in staff ruined our stay. This place should have been better staffed with people who knew what they were doing. When food ran out, trying to get even butter was almost impossible, there was very little supervision if it existed at all. The food was cold about half of the time.

-: The food was terrible. We could not get a reservation in a better restaurant because they were booked until after we left. The booking process was convoluted and difficult to use. By the time my daughter figured it out, everything was reserved. The check-in on the first day was ridiculous, I stood in line for over 1 12 hours while no one was being checked in. there were only 3 or 4 families waiting, but nothing was happening and on one told us what was going on. They obviously had computer problems but there were 5 or 6 people milling around and talking among themselves but not informing us. The signage directing us around the property was confusing and not very helpful. We got lost many times before being able to figure how to navigate the property. Many of the signs lacked the information needed. The bridges and railings on the paths had rotten rails and rot in the foot planking, not dangerous yet but very unsightly. I paid $6500 for our room on the 2nd floor with 4 flights of 8-9 stairs. Difficult for a 76 and 75 year-old to climb 3-4 times a day. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed with our stay. I would never want to go back to a Sandos resort if this is any indication of the organization. She site has obviously been occupied for a long while but it seems that they still do not know how to operate!

-: Hotel rooms are not in good condition, shortage of staff, restaurant reservations are dodgy, “fill up” immediately but they are half empty when you arrive. Food in buffets are not good.Some staff memebers are rude, inflexible due to “policy” with things that were previously approved or their limiting makes no sense.

+: Las instalaciones muy bonitas en medio de la naturaleza, un cenote precioso donde puedes nadar, el aqua park está genial para niños mi hija lo disfruto mucho, varias actividades muy divertidas y buenos espectáculos nocturnos

-: Comida pésima, sin sabor y grasosa, la playa horrible, no puedes nadar en ella, pero puedes ir al Sandos Playacar para disfrutar de la playa, el sistema de reservación para los restaurantes de especialidades es muy malo nunca había lugar
