+: The Island Pongwe nasce su una piccola isoletta a pochi metri dalla costa. Tranquillamente raggiungibile a piedi durante la bassa marea, altrimenti accompagnati da una barchetta durante l’alta marea. Le camere sono solamente cinque, ottimo per chi come noi era alla ricerca di luoghi non affollati e di privacy. Lo staff gentilissimo e il ristorante davvero ottimo pesce sempre freschissimo e cucinato alla perfezione (Attenzione nella formula HB e FB non sono compresi alcolici). La colazione buona e con tanta scelta di piatti. Le camere che affacciano o sul lato mare ( alba) o lato spiaggia (tramonto) hanno una piccola veranda privata. La nostra aveva addirittura la zona lettini e la discesa diretta a mare. Insomma un piccolo paradiso terrestre.

-: Purtroppo le camere non sono all’altezza del prezzo e hanno necessità di essere rinnovate. Non ho appezzato le finestre fatte di plastica ormai ingiallita, molto piccole e davvero difficili da aprire perché la guida in legno col tempo si è deteriorata.

+: Un séjour incroyable avec ma sœur ! Un grand merci à toute l’équipe. Mention spéciale pour Frank et Regina dont nous avons particulièrement apprécié la qualité des services.La cuisine était tout simplement exquise, on la regrette déjà ! Des produits frais, de la mer, et une carte très complète. Nous nous sommes offert un massage des plus relaxant sur la jolie terrasse de notre chambre : le rêve ! Les photos sont fidèles et correspondent en tout point à ce qui vous attend à The Island - Pongwe Lodge. Nous nous sommes senties parfaitement à l’aise et privilégiées dans cette bulle de confort et de bienveillance. Merci également a Margarita qui a donné le ton du séjour avec son accueil des plus chaleureux et sa disponibilité. +: OMG, where do I start? Oh yes, I’ll start with the staff who were absolutely amazing! We can’t thank Frank, Irene and the rest of the team enough for their great service and helpfulness during our four night stay at The Island. My husband’s got a slight walking impairment which means walking out to the Island during low tide is a bit of a challenge but Frank and his team made sure that was not going to be a hindrance to visit this beautiful, blissful and relaxing place. Pole pole!

-: The only “criticism” would be that we would have liked more local cuisine on the menu.

+: L’accueil de Frank. Le calme , la quiétude de cet endroit , l’excellente nourriture , l’hôtel n’ayant que 6 chambres , il y règne le calme que nous recherchions .le personnel est aux petits soins . Bravo à toute l’équipe

+: Le personnel , la nourriture, la table romantique et avant tout cela le lieu juste exceptionnel !!!!

+: Die Lage ist Traumhaft und die Insel mit ihren kleinen Hütten ein echtes Paradies. Das Personal ist äußerst aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Wir haben es zu keiner Sekunde bereut hergekommen zu sein.

-: Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt meiner Meinung nach nicht ganz. Da das Restaurant der Insel öffentlich ist verliert die Insel tagsüber ihre Exklusivität. Das Essen war zwar auf hohem Niveau, allerdings auch nicht überragend.

+: Sehr freundliches und sympathisches Personal. Das Essen war sehr gut. Wir hatten die Sultan-Suite und die Aussicht war einfach nur traumhaft.

-: Die Nächte waren sehr heiss. Es hatte leider keine Klimaanlage.

+: A beautiful getaway from everything. Very calm. The staff are friendly and they take very good care of you. The chef was so nice and special thank you to regina, juma and frank for being sweet and welcoming.

-: If you dont like insects you can't survive here so get a repellant.
