+: We had a lovely stay at The Nest during our recent visit to Zanzibar. We discovered the hotel through Instagram and decided to try it out immediately. Both the service, the food, and the hotel in general were fantastic. We would love to return on a future occasion. We highly recommend booking The Nest if you are going to Paje

-: Wir reisen sehr viel und haben so einen Aufenthalt noch nie erlebt. Es entsprach überhaupt nicht dem Auftritt auf der Website!In der Nacht laute Musik, sodass man nicht richtig schlafen konnte, am Strand warteten wir 45 Minuten auf ein neues Strandtuch, das Essen entspricht überhaupt nicht einem 5-Sterne Hotel und das Personal war sehr frech und unhöflich!!! Man fühlt sich als Gast überhaupt nicht gut aufgehoben! Über 5 Tage warteten wir auf eine Rückmeldung vom Management um unsere Anliegen anzugehen. Wir empfehlen dieses Hotel überhaupt nicht - wir sind sehr schockiert über dieses Auftritt und dieses Verhalten!!

+: Prachtige strand en de resort zelf is zo mooi, je hebt hutjes waar je kan relaxen , de kamers zijn zo mooi en apart ingericht de werknemers zijn ook super waardig . We waren met kinderen en er liepen aapjes rond dat vonden ze helemaal geweldig .Heerlijke plek om te relaxen

-: Koelkast koelde niet en het was zo heet , ze zijn hem komen maken maar paar uur later hetzelfde probleem .

+: Spacious room within an oasis around the pool. Direct access to the beach and easy to walk out from the back to the main road and felt safe. Dog banging at our door at night was promptly moved on after we messaged reception.

-: This is not a 5* resort which is very misleading. It was not clear when booking that the resort is vegetarian in its food offerings - if you were to eat there which is extremely expensive anyway with everything in dollars. The WiFi was really weak that did not fully reach the room. Breakfast service was slow, limited and full of flies. There were many staff that appeared to be doing nothing to help. There was only one normal height table in the shade to eat at. No dedicated child play area, which would usually be the case for a 5* resort. The gym is not within the premises. The air conditioning unit was in need of a service as it was leaking water (which we got repaired) and then was later spitting ice and making very weird sounds. The shower did not drain quickly turning the whole area into a big pool. We were told this would be resolved on our second day, but no one came to resolve. A fan in the outside bathroom area would also help. Very dangerous placement of electrical socket right next to the shower – wouldn’t be surprised is the place didn’t burn down again.

+: the beach is nice in this area and this is the reason we chose the location

-: the loud music on the beach, broken audio system, worn down facilities, the rooms smelled a bit of mould, everything was very expensive, terrible wifi signal, no wifi signal in the restaurant, beach, bar area, constant electricity cuts (during electricity cut generator started working but some appliances like TV is not powered through generator). All would have been ok had we paid 3 times less but for 300USD per night you would expect something more.

+: Great facilities - pool is a great chill out area and the rooms are very comfortable with very cool and unique outdoor Bali-style bathrooms! Food (veggie) in the restaurant is very nice! Great location and short walk along the beach to other bars restaurants shops.

-: Wi-Fi is weak (only worked on our balcony). Perhaps we were there at a quiet time, but the barrestaurant was very quiet despite best efforts of the hotel with live music entertainment (maybe because of high prices - local beer was $8 USD while 8k shillings everywhere else). The pool was often terrorised by a monkey (who we understand from a staff member is a pet of the owners) - he would take food and drinks from guests and cause general disruption! I appreciate some guests found it fun, but it’s not my idea of poolside entertainment to be blindsided by a stray monkey on my balcony! We also lived with the same pool towels for a 3 night stay (fresh towels were unavailable each time we asked)!

+: The property was beautiful, the room & beache.

-: Very weak & unreliable WiFi. Electricity kept going in and out as well as the television.
