+: les fruits exotiques variés et frais. la gentillesse des serveurs et du personnel, surtout Maria Ortiz au resto buffet Naos . elle comprend vite vos habitudes et vous les sert très vite à l’avance , c’est super ! puis le barman en face de l’accueil . Ismael , il fait le meilleur Mojito et autres punchs et drinks ! il est toppissime !

-: Our concierge was not good. Didn't keep in touch - only was able to get us one reservation for dinner in 5 nights - yet the restaurants were all empty - it was ridiculous - he only cared about the tip - so was most attentive when we were checking out - otherwise we never heard from him. Everyone we met there had the same complaint about the restaurants - we all felt they purposely kept the restaurants booked to force us to just go to the buffet for every meal. Also need more pool bars!

+: Paradisus Palma Real is a beautiful resort with stunning architectural design. Best location on one of the widest and most scenic sections of Punta Cana beach. Huge swimming pool. Several good specialty restaurants. Generally friendly and attentive staff at all levels. Carry a working cell phone everywhere you go as no menus, schedules or announcements are simply posted anywhere. You will be surrounded by QR codes which your phone needs to read. Covid testing required for a return flight home is free and available in the hotel.
-: Be warned that Paradisus Punta Cana resort is closed because of Covid and has been for a long time! It is supposed to reopen in a few years after remodeling. Take notice that all reviews on Booking.con website are relatively old - mostly from before or from the early stages of the pandemic and all room categories are only defined as “room selected at check-in”. That means that about a week before your stay, but too late to cancel or get a refund, you will receive an e-mail informing you about being “upgraded” to a different property, again, to a room category selected by Melia and not by you. You may actually like the new resort but you are booking a cat in a bag. This was exactly our experience and the following comments are about Paradisus Palma Real to which we ended up being “assigned”. While Paradisus Palma Real is admittedly more upscale and grand, it may not appeal to people who picked Paradisus Punta Cana because of its low rise, laid back style and a specific setting among hundreds of coconut trees. A shut down resort should not be listed on Booking.com website as available, which it is not.Other issues with Palma Real. 1. Food in a buffet restaurant always lukewarm and subjectively average at best. Coffee weak and most likely instant. 2. Resort is open to big weddings, events and conventions. There was actually one in the second half of our week. That meant big, loud (over 100 dB according to my Apple Watch) but private parties (you cannot join) in the main courtyard until late at night and congested restaurants. On the beach itself, right at the border between the Reserve part of Palma Real and the adjacent resort there is another huge, ugly concert stage pumping decibels throughout the day and into late night hours. I was told that the stage is not permanent but I would think twice before accepting a room in the SE corner of the Reserve section at the moment. 3.

+: The room was very confortable really ecelent. The dinner in the Japanesse Restaurant very good and entertainment. The bar drink excelent and also the restaurant that open after lunch. I went to celebrate my anniversary wedding great. Hopeing to go back.
-: I think the menu lunch can improve a little. I do not have much to say about dislike. Really I enjoy my stay.
