Set amidst a tropical landscape, Kithulgala Rest House offers sweeping views of the Kelani River. It features a restaurant, tour desk and rooms that overlook the greenery. Rooms at Rest House Kitulgala come with modern interiors and dark wood furnishings. All are equipped with a seating area, TV and en suite bathroom with shower facilities. The hotel offers car rental services for guests who wish to explore the area. Room and laundry services are also provided upon request. The restaurant serves a variety of Eastern and Western dishes. A buffet spread of traditional Sri Lankan dishes is available during the weekends. Dining options in the garden or by the river can be arranged. Kitulgala House is 75 km from Colombo International Airport and a 2.5-hour drive from Colombo.

+: Very comfortable accommodation with good food and particularly friendly, helpful staff. Went out of their way to help organise travel around the area to see the wildlife.

+: Beautiful location with very nice staff . The beddings etc is all new . They are slowly renovating the place . We really enjoyed our stay . Breakfast with a river jungle view -exceptional

+: Jídelna už toho hodně pamatovala, ale výhled na řeku a okolí byl úžasný. I z terasy před pokojem byl hezký výhled.
-: Snídaně na zdejší poměry běžná. Ovoce nebylo čerstvé, ale z ledničky. Spousta zbytečného nádobí a personálu. Na pokoji chyběli sítě na žaluziích nad dveřmi, takže pokoj byl plný komárů a repelent moc nepomáhal. Celé tři noci jsem se nevyspal. Škvírou pod dveřmi lezlo dovnitř spousta hmyzu. V koupelně chyběla zástěna, takže při sprchování byla celá podlaha i WC mokré. Růžice na sprše nefungovala tekl jen pramínek vody. V tomhle termínu také opravovali vedlejší pokoj a ráno byl budíček v podobě nechutných zvuků od nějakého uživatele betelu. Spodní pokoje spojuje špinavá nevlídná suterénní chodba. Na Bookingu jsem si objednal pokoj s klimatizací, TV a wifi. nic z toho tento pokoj neměl. Všiml jsem si, že od Booking přišlo správné zadání. Ovšem od hotelu už přišel potvrzený horší pokoj se stejnou cenou.

-: AllesBij ontvangst leken ze ons helemaal niet te verwachten terwijl we gewoon geboekt hadden, ontvangst was al rommeligVervolgens kregen we een kamer in een soort kelder voor ons gevoel, we waren de enige die daar een kamer haddenDouch deed het in eerste instantie niet, warm water leeg aangezet te moeten worden ( dit werd opgelost ) Beddengoed was vies en kapot en bij het aandoen van de ventilator waaide er allemaal stof af Kamer was helemaal heel stoffig en veel mieren Alles was heel erg verouderd en uiteindelijk bij slapen een andere kamer gevraagd omdat ook de wc nog eens niet werkte… Vervolgens kregen we nadat ze alle kamers die er waren hadden gecheckt een kamer met airco omdat ook de andere kamers vies waren en we aangaven dat je dat echt niet kan verhurenKortom, niet boeken! Totaal verouderd en voldeed niet aan de standaarden die je van een kamer verwachtWifi ook alleen bij de receptie beschikbaar verder niet
