+: It was on the lake

-: Dirty with grumpy staff and hardly any choice at breakfast. Uncomfortable bed with scratchy sheets with holes in. Dirty scraffittied bathroom walls, mouldy showers, cigarette butts and dirty tissues in the scruffy small outdoor space right in the carpark area. Dirty smelly corridors used as storage spaces. All in all very disappointed. I complained and the only outcome was another scratchy sheet without holes.

+: Hallstatt is a beautiful town. We went there to photograph the annual Corpus Christi procession which in good weather is on boats in the lake. Unfortunately, it rained. The restaurant of the hotel is outstanding, excellent fish from a the lake. The staff was exceptional - friendly, fast and efficient.

-: When I booked the room on the web it was not clear that the hotel has three different locations in town. We were put up at the one farthest away, after walking up a fairly steep trail (I am 85). When i brought this up with the staff, they said the rooms at the main building next to the lake are booked by groups. The room was under a mansard roof so we couldn't lean against a bed board. We arrived in the rain. Our luggage had to be transported to the room on a hand cart that had no tarp.

+: Excelente ubicación con magnifica vista sobre el lago. muy buena atención y cómodo.

-: Nada en particular ya que disfrutamos mucho nuestra estadía.

-: The only issue we had was getting from the p1 parking area. We waited for an hour and made four phone calls before the hotel shuttle picked us up. It was probably a language issue because confusion reigned whilst we try to explain that we hadn’t come in our own car and therefore couldn’t use the parking shuttle.
