+: The suite is in an old restored monastery and beautifully done. It’s near the harbor and close to shopping and restaurants. Parking is very difficult to find but if you use a taxi or Uber, it’s a great location. The host was charming and very helpful and the room was very clean and spacious.

-: The bed and pillows were too firm for our liking but might suit other guests.

+: Το ξενοδοχείο είναι μέσα σε ένα ιστορικό κτήριο, πρώην ενετικό μοναστήρι, δίπλα στην βυζαντινή συλλογή, ακριβώς πάνω απο το φρούριο Φιρκά. Η θέα ήταν φοβερή. Έχει μια εσωτερική αυλή, στην οποία υπάρχει έκθεση φωτογραφιών και ιστορικών στοιχείων, τόσο του χώρου, όσο των μοναστικών ταγμάτων και της ιστορίας των Χανίων γενικώτερα. Το καλύτερο μέρος για να μείνει στα Χανιά ένας λάτρης της ιστορίας! Και μάλιστα δίπλα στο Ναυτικό Μουσείο! Το γεγονός ότι είναι μέσα στη παλιά πόλη, στη συνοικία του Τοπανά, έκανε τις βολτες με τα πόδια μέσα στην παλιά πόλη πολύ εύκολες. Το κάτω δωμάτιο, που έμεινα, ήταν πολύ μεγάλο και άνετο, όπως και το μπάνιο του. Γενικά πολύ προσεγμένος και όμορφος χώρος.

+: Really liked the hospitality of Irene. She called to confirm the booking and was very helpful and checked on us throughout. The location was excellent. We were able to walk everywhere in old chania and that made a huge difference. The bathroom was exceptionally big and two people could take bath simultaneously. The breakfast was excellent all 3 days. She allowed us to check out late, gave us beach towels and reserved a sea facing table for our breakfast at the cafe. We enjoyed spending time with her. There were puzzles in the room and an old vinyl player that my husband enjoyed.

-: The only thing that i did not like was the room was warm and the AC was inadequate. It never cooled the room down to the degree I would have liked. I like to sleep cold and there was no fan and I felt warm all the 3 nights. In Irene's defense, I did not tell her that which was my problem. We were just in a hurry in the mornings to get to our activities and if I would have told her, i'm sure she would have fixed it but that was what made it less than perfect for me.

+: Tucked away in the charming old town, this hotel is a true haven of historical charm and peacefulness. While private parking comes at a fee, the vibrant garden with its insightful exhibition on Chania's rich history and architecture awaits within. A delightful surprise was the modern suite's bath with invigorating power jets. The upper-level bedroom treated us to captivating views of the calm harbor, and the hosts' exceptional efforts to accommodate our last-minute requests truly made our stay exceptional. Thank you Irene!!!

-: Little pricey, but also because of the summer time. I wish there were some lights above the mirror for makeup purpose. Also a full view mirror in the room. One small AC unit doesn’t seem work too well in the hot day for two levels.( but this also could be the personal preference)
