+: The hotel is nice, well mantained and the staff really lovely. The pool is great, with a volleyball net and both deep and shallow areas.

-: The food was really poor - particularly at the little restaurant by the pool. The teens had crispy chicken & fries. There was next to no chicken, just breadcrumb & oil - inedible. The fries tasted overcooked and 3 days old!. We had a ceasar salad - a bowl of sad iceberg lettuce and a small boiled egg with a non descript dressing. The buffet dinner was a bit better and breakfast passable. Pillows in the teens room werent particular clean or comfotable, ours were fine.

+: Location was great, food was very good. Amenities were very good, lovely pool.

-: Check in was too long, front reception staff were not that helpful. Sent us in the wrong direction for our room?

+: Beach, facilities, bungalows. And the Sous Chef. He was cool.

+: The Breakfast. The waiting staff and Specially Mr. Lakshan the front desk staff whom handled a difficult situation very professionaly. Kudos to Mr. Lakshan!

-: The Hotel Charged extra for and adult which were already booked under the room. The room is for 2 adults. However, when it was the time for us to check-in the Hotel required additioal Rs.6500.00, stating the 2nd Adults name is not in the booking although the price for the booking, shows very clearly, is for 2 Adults. The Executive Front Desk Mr. Damitha instructed that we were not to be let in to the room unless we pay the amount. We came at 11.30pm and he kept us waiting till 2.00am. We were 2 male & 2 Females. The decent thing to do is atleast let us check-in and have the issue sorted out next day. Damitha was very un-professional, unkind, & not helpful at all. +: Incredible experience from the starting of the stay. We reached the property early morning 5.30 am. We got a warm welcome from the front desk Mr Manaf. The allocated was just in front of the sea and is very near to the small pool. The breakfast lunch and dinner was great. There was more than 100 items menu for each meal. Saturday night the theater show was great. It was a classical dance of Srilanka. All the staff are very friendly and giving positive response to our any of the queries.Overall it was a great experience to both of us, me and padma my girl friend.

-: Hotel management and maintains are poor. Not so welcoming. Our room phone line didn’t work. After texted several times technicians showed up but never fixed it. Food was not expected quality for the price they charge. Our booking included bread and breakfast only and we had to pay 7000 additional per head to switch it with lunch. As per the front desk people said we went to the lunch, with the purpose of paying it at checkout or at the restaurant. One person said that we can add it to hotel bill. So we started our lunch. right in the middle of the buffet another person showed up and said that we have to go to front desk and pay before finish our lunch. So I had to stop eating and figure it out first to not to bother this situation for my friends who were staying with me. It was so unprofessional. There were really few professional staff members, but majority was really unprofessional. The way they talk and behavior is really bad… They close pool at 6.00pm and this was the first time I’m experiencing a hotel that closes their pool that much earlier. It was so hot and sunny outside to use the pool before 5.00pm. So we couldn’t use it during our stay. Rooms are not sound proof and you can experience all the party music, and noises going around..😣😖I wouldn’t recommend club hotel dolphin to anyone who are expecting quality professional and calm hotel experience in Sri lanka.
