+: The room was a good size and comfortable, as was the bed. It was perfectly fine for a place to stay for a day or two after arriving or before departing Arusha. The buffet breakfast was good and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful.
-: Several days before our stay I sent through a request to reduce our booking from 2 nights to 1 - this was inside the change period on booking dot com. However I received no response. I sent a follow up message on booking dot com two days before, and tried to call the night before. However again, received no response from the property. I finally got hold of someone over the phone the morning of our stay and they said it was fine and they would update our booking. When we arrived the booking had been shifted back a day. We were told that it was now too late to change the booking without paying the full fee. When I said that we had requested a change, they said they would agree to charge us half of the additional night due to a booking dot com ‘commission’. I struggle to see how booking dot com would take half, which was still a significant amount of money, particularly given I had documented evidence of the request several times, so they had opportunities to change it. We agreed to the payment however this was very disappointing and tainted our stay.
