Hotel description The hotel building was built at the end of the 18th - beginning of the 19th century by Sir Frank Svittenham, the first general resident of colonial Malaya, as the official residence. Later it was used for the residence of the governor of the British possessions on the Malay Peninsula and other famous historical figures of the Malay Federation. From 1904 to 1941, the building served as a residence for high-ranking British representatives in the Malay states. Now it is one of the most luxurious boutique hotels in Kuala Lumpur with well-groomed green lawns, elegant Victorian-style rooms equipped with the latest technology, restaurants and banquet rooms.
