At the moment, a certificate with a negative result of a PCR test for Covid-19 is needed for all tourists visiting Egypt, with the exception of children under 6 years old. 

Requirements for registration of the certificate: 

- the certificate is valid for 72 hours from the date of delivery to the arrival in Egypt; 

- the certificate must be issued in English or Arabic; 

- certificate is accepted only in original with a wet seal of the laboratory and a QR code; 

- the date and time of material collection is mandatory;

- the certificate must contain the name of the test and the data of the sample taken (RT - PCR); 

- the certificate must be issued by a certified laboratory of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

In case the certificate does not meet the above requirements, tourists will be directed to take the test directly at the airport in Egypt. The cost of the service is 30 USD (paid by tourists on the spot in cash in USD or local currency). Test results will be ready within 48 hours. Tourists who’s test positive for coronavirus are accommodated in a separate hotel building for treatment. All further actions must be agreed with the insurance company under the insurance contract.

Egypt is in the green zone. At the moment, upon arrival from Egypt to Ukraine, self-isolation or observation is not needed. The data is updated once a week based on statistics on the incidence of coronavirus.

All hotels in Egypt that have received a health and safety certificate have a permission to work and accommodate tourists from Ukraine. They are required to comply with security measures and protocols to prevent the spread of coronavirus. According to the new rules, at the entrance to hotels, everyone is measuring the temperature, sanitizing the luggage. Rooms are cleaned using disinfectants. According to the protocol, beach towels are delivered to the rooms, where they are left for replacement. Sun loungers on the beaches and pools are placed with a distance of 1.5 - 2 m.

In public areas - restaurant, lobby bar, reception, it is mandatory to wear masks for all guests. The main change has affected the buffet - in restaurants, food is served only by waiters, all dishes are behind a protective glass. There are no restrictions on the number of people at one table in hotels. 

Shops and souvenir shops, restaurants, cafes in the resorts of Egypt operate in compliance with all standards - temperature screening, distance, masks. Hookah smoking is prohibited in all public places.

Excursions from the resort regions of Egypt are carried out in full. 

For tourists, the following are still available: jeep safari, boat trips, trips to the archaeological areas of Luxor and Giza, and diving centers at hotels. The coronavirus did not particularly affect the cost of excursions in Egypt. On October 31, 2020, a new museum of the history of Ancient Egypt was opened in Sharm el Sheikh.

Upon arrival at the airports of Sharm el Sheikh, Hurghada, Marsa Alam, you must provide a completed health declaration - a questionnaire with passport data of tourists, data on visits to countries with a wide spread of coronavirus in the last 14 days, health status, symptoms of COVID - 19.
