+: We stayed here for 9 days last month and had one of the best holidays we've ever had. The hotel and staff are absolutely fantastic and we hope to return. Now, I want to caveat this review with the fact that we stayed in the Executive Pool Suite which is the hotel's most expensive room, so I appreciate we may have had a different experience to some guests with different accommodation. The room was absolutely incredible: we felt like royalty when we arrived! The exec pool suite has two big bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room and HUGE outdoor space. It's really an apartment or villa rather than a room – detached with a gate and it's own front and back gardens. Out back we had a private swimming pool, hammock, three swings and multiple seatingdining areas with tables, chairs, sun loungers and beanbags. There were very few photos of this suite online, I think because it's so new, so we didn't know what to expect but I can say that it was far bigger and more beautiful than we'd expected. The pool was huge – definitely not a plunge pool like we thought it might be. And thanks to the weather, it was always warm. We spent most of our time in it and never got bored! Something else we hadn't realised when booking is that the room is right on the beach and you can see the sea from every window and from the terrace, which means you can swim in your pool with a view of the sea. It takes about 2 seconds to walk from the pool on the back terrace onto the sand and another 10 seconds to get into the sea. We went snorkelling most days and didn't have to take anything with us to the beach (bags, phones, etc) because we were only seconds away from the room. The snorkelling is amazing, by the way. We saw thousands of fish just metres from the shore and the sea was really clear and calm. More on TripAdvisor.

-: Our only real issue on the holiday was the lack of shade. There are loads of parasols everywhere but most of them didn't actually provide total shade. The umbrellas by the snack bar and those on our terrace were thinporous and the sun still came through them, so although it felt cooler underneath, you could see it wasn't complete shade (if you moved your hand around, you'd see the real shade created by your hand compared to the parasol shade) and we couldn't rely on them to protect us from the sun. By the pool, there were slatted wooden umbrellas which meant the sun came through the cracks. None of this would be a problem for people who aren't worried about the sun but we all burn easily! It would have been nice to have more places we could sit outside where we knew we were totally safe. The beach parasols were great and did stop the sun.

+: The facilities, the beach, the pools and aqua park are all perfect for a family with kids. The variety of food in the restaurant is very nice. Cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms is perfect. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

-: The only thing was that the coral reefs were a little far from the shore in the deep water which was not suitable for children.

+: The beach is amazing. nice & neat with lovely staff, the sea guard is very friendly and the bar men were attainable. Breakfast was nice, covering most of the common dishes needed for decent breakfast.

-: The breakfast doesn't have variety, it is the same every day. Also, the air conditioning in the restaurant is not good in the morning. At the beach, we haven't been approached by the animation team, although we didn't hang the red flag. They were only going to the Europeans! Kids were waiting for them to come, but they didn't come to us! I have to admit the animation team did lovely shows which we all enjoyed.
