Bambu Indah is a boutique hotel in Ubud and prides itself on combining the best of antique architecture and design, innovative bamboo architecture with modern and sustainable practices in a luxury environment. They named this collection of antique teak homes bambu indah, which translates to beautiful bamboo. Bambu indah believes that its land should be responsibly cultivated to produce nutritious food. Dapoer promises a one-of-a-kind Indonesian dining experience true to the roots of the archipelago, in an inspired, innovative environment that offers an authentic relationship with nature. The garden produce is enjoyed by both its customers and staff. While most pools require large amounts of concrete and chemicals, we’ve built a sustainable pool without either. Instead, we use lava stones and a vegetation regeneration zone, which naturally cleanses, filters and oxygenates the water and nurtures beneficial bacteria. In an effort to minimize plastic wastage, bambu indah does not serve commercially bottled mineral water. The hotel features a hospital standard triple filter water system, which makes its water safe to drink straight from the tap – certainly a rare facility on the island and in the country!

+: It was so unreal to see nature all around and lush green which was much needed for us from busy cities. Beautiful place and lovely staff. food was amazing and I loved the spring pool and the sunset bar which was exceptional🙌

+: Waking up in the moon house, we had to pinch ourselves every day to make sure it’s not a dream;) What an incredible and magical place, built within and with respect for nature. One of the most amazing and most memorable experiences of our life. Everything was perfect. The people, their kindness and service, the thought-through ecotravel and sustainability concept, including the beautiful and tasty food and local sourcing, the incredible awe-inspired architecture (especially of our moon house!!) fully indulged in nature and the social projects and care for community. The spa and restaurant are also accessible for outsiders with a daily pass, highly recommended to also try out the new restaurant!

+: Een werkelijke prachtige plek. Wat een uitzicht en midden in de jungle rondom een stromende rivier. Aan gastvrijheid geen gebrek. Via de app communiceren werkte uitstekend. Het bad was geweldig.

+: Ontzettend gastvrij en een prachtige lokatie! We werden vroeg in de nacht welkom geheten en ontvangen met alle egards. Wat een beleving. We zullen het niet snel vergeten.

+: Amazing staff, very very helpful. You could see they were genuinely glad to serve well. It has a great and nature friendly structure to mitigate and even avoid undesirable animals insects. We were surprised with how little insect encounters we had even staying in one of the most open rooms. Massage, restaurant and laundry services were wonderful. They also help you a lot with tours and arrange trustworthy and sympathetic drivers to drive you around town at fair prices. We arrived late at night to our first day of stay and they were thoughtful enough to leave us a fruit plate and salad at our room in case we were hungry.
