The eco-friendly Maalu Maalu Resort & Spa - Thema Collection sits on the sandy shores of Passekudah Bay on the east coast of Sri Lanka. It offers Ayurvedic spa treatments, a beautiful infinity pool and spacious rooms and suites with private balconies with free Wi-Fi. Bathed in warm lighting, the spacious air-conditioned rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV and well-stocked minibar. Large bathrooms have 2 wash basins, a bathtub and separate rainshowers. Maalu Maalu Resort & Spa - Thema Collection is about 225 km from Sigiriya Town. Free parking is available. Guests can snorkel in the clear waters of the Indian Ocean, pick seashells by the beach or visit the nearby villages and local markets. The resort also provides a gym and business centre. +: The hotel is located in a really nice place, peaceful and quite, definitely is a place to go and relax, the swimming pool is beautiful and the staff are really friendly and helpful

+: Wir kamen aus der quirligen Arugam Bay an und freuten uns über die Stille.Das Hotel ist sehr klein, ca. 35 Zimmer. Das Restaurant ist sehr gut, auch das Buffet. Das Strandrestaurant haben wir nicht ausprobiert. Alles ist sehr stilvoll, die Leute super freundlich, besonders Ruben an der Handtuchstation und sein Kollege an der Strandbar. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß, das Bett ist bequem und das Badezimmer ist ein Traum.Es gibt keine örtlichen Bars oder Restaurants in der Nähe, aber Sie können zu Fuß in die Nachbarhotels gehen, um Getränke und Mittag-Abendessen zu sich zu nehmen.Das SPA liegt direkt am Strand und bietet eine große Auswahl an Behandlungen. Z.B. 30 Minuten RückenNackenSchultern 18 US-Dollar.Der Strand ist sehr sauber, das Wasser ist kristallklar und es gibt keine Korallen.Wassersportausrüstung kann ebenfalls gemietet werden.Wir haben uns nirgendwo auf der Welt besser erholt und werden nächstes Jahr im Mai vor Beginn der Touristensaison wiederkommen.Vielen Dank an das gesamte Maalu-Team Wir haben auf 4 Nächte verlängert
-: Fenster und Türen sind nicht richtig dicht, Fliegengitter wären gut, vor allem im Bad.Die Zimmer sind auf den ersten Blick sehr sauber, allerdings findet man an jeder Ecke Spinnweben und unter dem Bett krabbelndes Ungeziefer. Nach 4 Nächten haben wir am ganzen Körper Stiche und Bisse. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob sie vom Zimmer oder von draußen sind. Dies wäre jedoch eine große Verbesserung für das Hotel und würde es auf den Status „perfekt“ bringen.Auch die tägliche Zimmerreinigung könnte etwas besser sein, um europäischem Standard zu entsprechen.
