-: As a beach hotel, there is no beach, but it is full of rocks. Moreover, during the stay, the hotel asked for meal fees many times instead of checking out, which made me feel depressed.

+: Swimming pool is fabulous. We went to the spa which is in the next door hotel - this was fine We walked in the local area which was nice. There are a few local restaurants nearby where we had some great fish at a great price. There are a few local shops and a good supermarket Keels, around 15 minutes walk away.
-: The hotel is called a beach hotel but there is no beach. We asked where the nearest one was and were pointed in the opposite direction to where apparently, there is one. Restaurant choice is a bit limited and the main restaurant was over priced The food in the japanese restaurant is not very good - sushi was not great and the yakisoba rather tasteless. The train line is right behind the hotel and for some rooms it is noisy. Quite a number of guests come down at 6.30am to the pool arae and put towels on sun loungers to reserve them for the day - very annoying ! No hoppers for breakfast ! An international kind of hotel which probably suits many, but we would have liked more Sri Lanka in it.

+: Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und schön eingerichtet. Die Anlage ist sehr sauber und der Pool extrem groß und sauber. Das Frühstück hat eine sehr große Auswahl und ist lecker. Wir hatten kein all inklusive, sind deshalb ins A la carte Restaurant gegangen. Die Küche ist gut und die Preise sind human. Wir denken das dieses Resort keine 5 Sterne würdig ist.
-: Wir sind individuell und nicht über einen Reiseveranstalter angereist und unsere Buchung über booking.com war nicht im System. Nur eine vorherige Stornierung von uns war zu finden. Die erneute Buchung aber nicht. Da kam schnell die Andeutung auf, wir hätten einen Fehler gemacht. Nachdem die Buchung dann aber doch gefunden werden konnte, gab es noch eine Unstimmigkeit zum Preis und die Reaktion war: "Sie können sich ja an booking.com wenden, wenn Sie Zweifel am Preis haben." Nachdem wir diesen Punkt dann aber doch vor Ort klären konnten (es kam noch zwei Steuern hinzu), haben wir ein Zimmer bekommen, sind dann aber per Anruf wieder zur Rezeption gebeten worden, um direkt zu bezahlen, was in Sri Lanka eher untypisch ist. Wir haben uns insgesamt nicht sehr willkommen gefühlt. Von einem Management eines 5 Sterne Hotels mit entsprechenden Preisen erwartet man eine andere Handhabung. Wir sind deshalb am nächsten Tag nochmal zur Rezeption, um erneut ins Gespräch zu gehen. Hier wurde sich zwar für die Unannehmlichkeiten entschuldigt, aber nicht eingeräumt, dass etwas auf ihrer Seite falsch gelaufen sein könnte. Das fanden wir sehr schade.
