+: We liked that the room was modern, new and it looked very nice. The room was very clean and it was maintained clean. The building from the outside looked very old and outdated, but luckily the inside was new and renovated. The place was quiet, we slept well. The shower was nice but the water pressure was very low in the evenings. Swimming was nice, the water was crystal clean and the sand was soft, the beach was nice but small and the chairs were occupied all the time. The guy that was making the salads was very nice. Also the guy that was cleaning the room was very nice and he would always clean it spotless and supply it with everything we needed.
-: We didn’t like how we were welcomed, the lady that welcomed us was not smiling and she was not friendly. She agreed to change our room to a room with ocean view but we could tell that she didn’t like that we requested to change the room (we booked ocean view but initially they assigned us a room without ocean view and instead with a ugly view). After that we were never asked how our stay is (or how it was) and when we accidentally met with the lady that welcomed us she avoided eye contact. We came from another resort in Maldives where everyone was so welcoming and friendly and we were shocked by how we were welcomed and treated at Cinnamon. We did not like the food, we barely found options each day so that we don’t stay hungry. The chairs and tables were very dirty, the chairs were covered with stains including blood stains and the tables were so dirty that my husband elbows would turn black. My husband got food poisoning one day and felt very sick. The island is very small and is not much to do other that just swim in a pretty small beach where all the chairs are occupied all the time. The island itself is not that beautiful, we were disappointed, because other resorts in Maldives looked much nicer. They were spraying for mosquitos each day from 5 to 6 pm and the smog was very strong. We didn’t understand why wouldn’t they choose to do this in the night when everyone is inside. For the price that we paid we were disappointed. We stayed at another resort in Maldives just before we came to Cinnamon and at that other resort we paid 35% less (also full board) and we had an amazing experience at the other resort ( over there all the staff were very attentive and friendly, the food was very good with plenty of options to choose from, the island was big, well maintained and really beautiful, the bungalow we stayed there was much nicer). Everything over there was much nicer than at Cinnamon.

+: We stayed in an over water bungalow and the room was lovely. It was great to be able to look out onto the sea. The lagoon was also great for swimming and snorkeling. Fairly calm, despite the sea not being so.
-: Their approach to allergies is dangerous and could result in serious harm to someone. They ask you if you have any allergies when you check in, and then told us that they allergy label all of their food so I didn't need to worry. The waiter was also told when I first arrived (you see the same ones each day). I noticed on the first day there were a couple of labels wrong, something had parmesan cheese in but they didn't label it as having milk, as well as a cheese pizza and cheese wrap. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought mistakes happen. The next day it was a little worse, so I stuck to what felt like safe foods. I was quite poorly, but had put it down to the heatdrinking ice cubesbeing abroad etc., until the next day when a fair few dishes were incorrectly labelled and we asked what I could or couldn't have. This is when we realised at least half of the buffet dishes were incorrect.When we spoke to management, one manager tried saying that it was on me as I should have checked - which feels incredibly wrong when they gave so much reassurance at check in. When asked why they ask for allergy information, they said it is to communicate with their chefs, which is completely incorrect as we received an anniversary chocolate cake absolutely filled with dairy - despite my allergy. We also received a bottle of champagne to the room, lovely gesture but it also contained dairy!I asked the management if they had an epi pen on site as it's around a 20 minute speedboat to male (and that's if the speedboat is there and ready to go) and they didn't know what one was.Another manager did try to rectify it by asking what I'd like to eat and they provided room service at no extra charge. But I was rather poorly the day after- consistent with being given dairy - and hadn't eaten anywhere else.
