This hacienda-style hotel is located on Playa del Carmen's Fifth Avenue, one block from the beach. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi in every guest room. Hotel Lunata features 10 guest rooms decorated in traditional Mexican style. Each guest room offers cable TV, air conditioning and a refrigerator. Rooms also offer a balcony with a view of the ocean, garden or Fifth Avenue. Medical services and laundry facilities are available at the Lunata. Guests can explore the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza, Tulum and Coba. The Lunata Hotel is within a short walk of the boutiques, shops and nightlife of the trendy Fifth Avenue.

+: The hotel is beautiful "during the day". Antique structure and design of the house is quite Mexican, which is cool. We were waiting for the moon to rise for a lovely night time until...
-: Constant noise and vibration from the neighboring discos and clubs had deprived our sleep until 04:30AM sharp. The heat from the nightclubbers was fierce. Mechanical roar from the hotel itself repeats every 5 minutes, to mention the least. We had to escape for our relaxation abandoning the rest of our reservation which, of course, was not refunded. The slightest hint about this beforehand could have helped, but there wasn't any unfortunately. Excelente servicio.

+: There is a lot to love about hotel Lunata - the friendly and accommodating staff, the beautiful decor of the hotel, the big size of the rooms, the quaint (but perfect for us!) breakfast offering, and the back garden that provided a lovely respite from the hustle and bustle. If this hotel was off 5th ave, it would be a 1010 for me!
-: Just a note for future travellers - this hotel really is right in the centre of it all! And while it is convenient, the noise really is something else! The hotel has done their best with the double glazed balcony doors etc, but it still bleeds through. If you’re in PDC to party, this is the hotel for you! If you’re there to explore and not really get into the party scene (like us) then I’d recommend staying a few streets back, as the music only finished at 3am. Nothing the hotel can change! Just a note for those who would prefer a little more quiet.

+: Hotel muy prolijo, con servicio muy bueno, nos esperaron tarde a la noche y pudimos dejar las valijas unas horas luego del check out.Desayuno de cortesía muy oportuno.
-: El sábado a la noche había música muy fuerte en la calle quinta avenida e incomodaba un poco.
