+: The hotels beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean and had no bad smells.

-: Our stay at the Proud was not as expected and was completely not value for money by any means. The rooms were small, no room to move around, we had to move furniture to create room. The room we had in particular had no hot water, we let the staff know who were quick to come to try and fix it however the water became lukewarm but then went again the next day back to cold. The iron leaked and was unable to iron clothes. The balcony was poor with the air con units right above the doors, if you’re tall you’ll hit your head every time and the balcony is not an ideal place to sit outside by any means, even if you have access to the pool with the room. The weirdest thing in the room is that there is a so called kitchen with electric hobs, these hobs do not work and there is no utensils to use if you did wish to make food, there is no cutlery other then two wine glasses, not even a spoon if you make a tea or coffee with the kettle which did work. Not sure of the point of having a kitchen if there is nothing to use. The items in the fridge you have to pay for and they are overpriced. You don’t have any views from the balcony even if you get a deluxe room you get less room and have a wardrobe in the bathroom and a big bath which takes up even more space. There is dressing tables in the rooms however unfortunately do not have any seats. There is lifts but only one worked just about however being the off season work was being done so this is not unexpected . The pool is small and enclosed but you have balconies overlooking. The hotel itself is a walk from the main area which isn’t to bad but there is not a lot to do around Karon, I believe basic things were missing and for the price we paid it was not worth it. This is not a 5 star hotel even a staff member admitted it was not and more like 3 star.

+: It was really a good place to stay with family. Thanks for the hospitality.

-: The fact elevators are not easy to understand where is what, cleaners are not cleaning actually but just making your bed and giving you new towels.

+: The rooms are ok and clean.

-: -The hotel is advertised in the booking as 5 stars but is far from it, maybe a 3-star max.-The elevators and social areas are very dirty and smell bad. The hotel exit to local areas is under construction and you need to pass inside the parking and staff areas.-My friend had food poisoning from their room service padthai. The room was very small, to give privacy to my friend I had to book a second room to stay overnight. No service recovery was offered for my friend's situation.-The service is very slow and we decided to leave since we were very disappointed with everything. We asked for a refund and they said it would take 45 days, we still don't know if it will arrive.-They took 2k Thai baht from my friend as a deposit and he dropped coffee on the bed sheets, they kept the deposit, since they said coffee can not be washed, which I fund absurd.-I do not recommend this hotel.

+: It was new and clean

-: We had to take a few lifts to get to breakfast and with the lifts out of order and the heat it wasn’t the best. The pool was through the lobby too.
