-: Our group of 12 people stayed at Sinem Hotel and Old City from August 7 to August 14, 2024, and unfortunately, our experience was unsatisfactory. To begin with, the hotel only provides one iron for all guests, which meant we had to wait a long time to receive it. When we finally got the iron, it was broken and malfunctioning, which left a mark on our bedding. We were then charged 45 dollars for this small stain, which felt extremely unfair given the circumstances. We rented 6 rooms, on different floors. Five out of the six rooms had non-functioning shower heads, so impossible to take a shower in five of the rooms that we had and despite raising this issue with the staff, no one took the initiative to fix it. It seems this has been a recurring problem, as indicated by previous reviews. The air conditioning was also problematic. It didn't work in 4 out of the 6 rooms. In the two rooms where it did work, we were unable to control the temperature ourselves as it was managed remotely from the reception. On several occasions, the air conditioning was turned off without our consent, which led to extremely uncomfortable conditions and caused us to wake up multiple times during the night due to the heat. One night, after requesting a cooler room before bed, we woke up to find the air conditioning completely turned off. Despite calling the reception for help, no one responded. The toilet doors in some rooms were either missing or dysfunctional. Two of the rooms had no door at all, which was highly inconvenient as they were shared by 2-3 people. In rooms with doors, they were partially transparent and lacked proper locking mechanisms, only having sliding doors that did not fully cover the opening.Additionally, the lighting in the rooms was very dim, making them feel gloomy in the evenings.Lastly, the hotel staff refused to provide new, clean glasses. We were expected to use the same glass throughout our stay without any opportunity to clean it ourselves.
