-: It is with a heavy heart that I write this negative review, but I believe it is essential to share both good and bad experiences. While the location of this hotel in Istanbul is undeniably good, the quality of the staff and services left much to be desired.Upon arrival, after a long journey with three flight changes, I was exhausted and in dire need of sleep. However, my rest was abruptly interrupted when I was woken up by the staff and told I needed to change rooms the very next day. Confused and tired, I went to the reception to inquire about this, only to be met with a loud and unprofessional response from the receptionist. They repeatedly stated that we had booked the "superior room," which they described as the cheapest room, and insisted we must move to a different room. Mind you we had paid 7449 Norwegian crowns for 7 nights, which is a substantial amount for a 4 star hotel even by Norwegian standards.This was quite a frustrating experience, especially being woken up due to their mistake. However, I do understand that maybe the room we had received was not the correct room, even though it was not even that much better or impressive in itself, but the way they handled the situation was quite disappointing. The pool is small and not so clean, so we didn’t like to use it, but the jacuzzi was nice.A few days later, another troubling incident occurred. I had accidentally left my passport on the bed, and we made sure to put up the "Do Not Disturb" sign to prevent anyone from entering the room. While out at the mall, I realized I had left my passport in the hotel room, so we rushed back to retrieve it. To my shock, the room had been tidied up despite our clear indication not to enter, and my passport was missing. After expressing my concern to the reception, they claimed my passport had been left at the lobby, which was not true, as I never stay there. My mother, who was traveling with me, clearly remembers seeing the passport on the bed.

+: The hotel is exactly as advertised: clean, elegant, comfortable, and spacious rooms and bathrooms. The staff is extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful: we briefly waited to check-in and were immediately seated and offered refreshing juice!The day before check out, we found delicious cake and juice in our room with a handwritten note thanking us for staying with them: amazing!The breakfast buffet is fresh and varied. The facilities are clean with great opening hours and also offer hammam services!Taxis are readily available in front of the hotel at all times, so it's super handy. The neighborhood is safe and authentic, lively with lots of shops and restaurants.
-: Due to the awesome weather and views, a rooftop pool or restaurant would make this property even better 😉.
