+: We were allowed to have a late check out free of charge (possible due to some issues in the hotel and pool being out of order without any notice), it was nice of them.Some people working here were very pleasant.I think the restaurant had a pretty varied menu and I did like the breakfast. The sunbed area was nice.

-: I feel bad writing this, because on the way to the hotel you pass local villages and you can see how people live on the island so it is obvious that Zanzibar's standards of cleanliness can be very different to what I expect from a hotel, but since if we leave sad socially economic factors out of my review and just focus on this hotel as a holiday location - it was clean. The room was smelly. The receptionist offered us to get a cheaper room instead of what I paid (I think you should try offering a better one if you have smelly rooms?) but it was equally stinky. The floors were dirty. It was obvious that the room wasn't cleaned because there were someone's hairs on bathroom walls. Pillows had musty odour that I hated and couldn't sleep properly. The worst was the sofa in the room. It had very very clear prints of someone's hands, ass and....white crusty liquid. I asked the receptionist to send someone to clean it three times on two different days, but when the housekeeping finally attended she just dragged a handcloth across the sofa once and it was the cleaning. Apparently she couldn't see the gross prints or crusty liquid stains. She would forget to bring bath mats. Once I asked for clean towels and I am pretty sure she gave us someone's used towels because there was a huge stain on the face towel. Honestly paying that money per night I expected better. I wish I paid more and stayed in a clean hotel with more modern renovations.Another gross thing was seeing a person working in the bar going to use the bathroom and going back to work without washing their hands. Just lovely.The location...I don't think this is the hotel's fault, because they can't do much about it, but it was my first time at Zanzibar and I just didn't expect the amount of hawkers that would harass you every time you try to go from the sunbed to the water.

+: Emplacement et style très africain , belle ambiance à l’hôtel et plage très active. Mer magnifique comme partout sur zanzibar

-: Nous sommes arrivés vers 19h à l’hôtel, fatigués après un très long voyage et accueil très peu chaleureux de la réception. Piscine en travaux donc un peu déçus mais nous avons été upgrades pour les chambres donc geste commercial apprécié. Cote menu, pas assez de variétés pour un hôtel aussi grand. Service peut être très lent également donc lorsque l’hôtel est plein ça doit être compliqué.
