+: The hotel is on a good location. Well located between the old town and the beach.
-: We were staying in the Oktober Downtown Hotel for 5 days, including the weekend. Unfortunately, there is a very loud Dutch karaoke bar right across the street which had a severe impact on our seep and rest. If you would like to go to Rhodes purely for partying, you can stay at this hotel. However, if you want to go to bed around 11 to enjoy your next day fresh, please do not go to this Hotel. The music from the Karaoke bar is very loud and will keep you awake for hours. After several times asking the staff for a new room, we have not heard anything from them and they completely ignored our concerns. Lastly, the music was also playing on Sunday afternoon which ruined our relax hour after coming home from the beach.We are very disappointed in the hotel and the staff that they did not come with a solution for our sleepless nights.Further, the breakfast was very simple and repetitive. The pool is always full since people put their towels on the beds before the breakfast even starts and further, the pool is not really a pool since it is only 50cm (0,5 meter) deep.All together, we are very unhappy with our stay at the Oktober Downtown Hotel and would suggest people who are not going on a party holiday to search for another hotel.
