+: Quiet, remote spot at the beautiful beach. Very nice garden with large pool. Excellent food. Very kind and helpful staff. My wife was handicapped as she had broken her leg but the staff supported her in any respect to move around. Thank you!

+: staff in the hotel was helpful The pool was good, especially we enjoyed private pool in the villa The hotel is small, so there were no people, it was quiet

-: The food was disgusting. Expensive and not tasty at all, it smelled with old oil. The beach was dirty sometimes and there were always waves - no chance to swim The room interior was rather old. Photos are better than reality. The town Wadduwa is not very comfortable for tourists, it is mostly for locals.

+: This is the best property I stayed at during My stay in Sri Lanka. I was thoroughly impressed. It's right by the beach and it was so calming. The food was beyond exquisite and some of the best I had during my trip. Will definitely be back next year

+: A lovely property by the beach. The Staff were very attentive and managed to arrange a last minute dinner. I loved the room and the furniture and especially the view. It was truly worth the price paid

+: We stayed at Ayana Seas for five nights. This small resort is located nearby a small village south of Colombo. Took about an hour and a half from the airport. The vibes were quiet, super chill and peaceful. The resort is right on the beach, and it's one of the best we hit up in Sri Lanka. All the staff were super friendly. The beach is gorgeous, but the waves were a bit gnarly for swimming when we were there, so we just hung out by the pool. The food was good overall, and you gotta try the seafood sizzling dish platter—it was bomb. Bed was very comfortable. We got lucky and saw a bunch of baby turtles hatching on the resort beach. We even helped some of the little dudes find their way to the ocean. All in all, it's a sweet and serene resort.

+: The spa bathroom was very nice. It was almost 40C in there. On request they provided a fan. We enjoyed the plungepool too. The food and service at the restaurant was very good.Room size was good and the bed was comfy.Staff was very nice. One restaurant staff spoke good English, which was refreshing.

-: It is a small place, that is why we actually chose it. But somehow, as we had a premier ocean view room, which was next to the pool area. We felt it lacked privacy. Guests were lounging in the garden ouside our room.The rooms felt very dated and worn off. We had to get the room and terrace cleaned thoroughly. Wished the welcome drinks were not just mere shots. In 35C, we were hoping for some good cooling drinks, like in all the other places we stayed. The breakfast was not included in 265$ per day tariff, it didn't feel right. We skipped it as we didn't feel right paying 42$ per day for breakfast. We stayed in better properties during our 2.5 week holiday and always had a great bf included in the tariff. Plus no yoga class or no gym.We made best of our stay at Ayana sea, as it was our last 3 days in Srilanka. But we might not be going back.
