+: Everything wonderful for our honeymoon!First, all the staff was always extremely nice and friendly, which was essential to make every moment unforgettable! The house reef snorkeling was amazing. The island is very well kept and the ocean villa we had was terrific! The food was super delicious everywhere, i.e. in the restaurants and at the buffet, which offered a very wide range of fine options at any time.

+: Our stay at The Standard was simply amazing. Everything was perfect - overwater villa, the transfer, the food and the excursions we did. Above all our island host Lew was really really kind and professional always trying to satisfy our requests. All the staff on the island and even at the airport was awesome. I highly recommend this place, it is like heaven. Really hope I will go there again in the future.

+: A szállás nagyszerű volt, a szoba tiszta volt, az étkezések bőségesek és változatosak. A személyzet minden kérésünket teljesítette. Pároknak, kis gyerekkel rendelkezőknek is ajánlani tudom a helyet maga a csoda. Rengetek program lehetőség, túra várja az érkezőket.

+: We visited the Standard for the first time for our honeymoon, as well as the Maldives! And it was the right decision, as our stay was really amazing. The service, apartment and beautiful sea & white sandy beaches were outstanding. It was like being in a paradise, far from everyday worries. Would definitely recommend!Positive:+ warm, colorful sea & sea life and white sandy beaches+ general athomsphere of the resort: relaxed, good mood, always friendly, laid back+ staff: always greeting us, and smiling.+ Wonderful apartment by the beach: very spacious, and luxurious. Especially the big bed and bathroom. Amazing pricacy.+ Food was very good, including the other speciality restaurants (BBW Shak and Guduguda). There was a lot of varety.+ small, but not too small island. You can explore the whole island easily barefoot+ Transfer to the island was smooth, we liked the private lounge at the Malé Airport. Seaplane ride was amazing by itself.+ Overall hospitality: we got support whenever needed+ House keeping was pretty good - if needed, would come twice a day. Apartment felt very clean.+ Very big terrace and the pool was always warm. 4 loungers, 2 for the terrace, 2 for the beach.+ set up of the whole resort: having ocean lagoon beach villas, a jungle in the middle, and also water villas. Really a good mix overall.A special thanks goes to:* Shaan: our host who was very professional and helpful. Every day we were informed by him of the daily activities. He also took care of several (little) issues that were resolved pretty quickly.* Jada: our main waiter at the Kula restaurant: amazing hospitality, always having a good conversation and recommendations (cocktails). We enjoyed his company a lot.* Doris: the lovely adminstration lady at Kula who always found a good table for us and tried her best to fulfill our wishes.* Rahab: at Kula, light up the room* D: at Beru Bar, cool guy and funny conversations.We are certainly planning on coming back!

-: Neutral # The bathroom has little open walls, and some lizards may come inside when the light is on. We didn't mind as they are mostly on the ceiling and harmless. They take care of the bugs! # The welcoming felt a little bit rushed. Would need a little bit more time to show guests the island and room. # We were not greeted by a Standard employee when we traveled back at the Malé Airport. For us and other guests it was a bit confusing, but in the end we figured everything out (luggage etc from the sea plane). # All Inclusive items should include more options. Especially Beru Bar should be open to AI for the whole day, not only after 10:00 pm. Negative - There should be better instructions given when going on the snorkeling safari: what can we expect, how to behave in case of a shark attack etc. Just more information all around. - Activities such as Spa, guided tours and water sports are pretty expensive. There should be a much greater discount given to AI guests. - Some inventory (bathroom, pool) need a renovation (missing panels, rust, shower head lose etc.). But this is only a minor issue. - if you are not AI be aware of the high prices for food. But this goes for all Maldives resorts. - A Seaplane discount should be given for at least AI guests - House reef is good and intact, but to really see interesting sea life you would need to go on a tour. In summary, the positive points far outweigh the negative ones mentioned. But of course there is always room for improvement.

+: Estuvimos alojados en un Ocean overwater pool villa y fue una elección fantástica. Acceso a la barrera de coral desde la terraza de la villa, donde hicimos snorkel y pudimos ver muchísimos peces de colores. Es muy práctico, ya que en la habitación hay el equipamiento para el snorkel, por lo que puedes practicar siempre que quieras. Agua transparente. Privacidad absoluta. Aunque son más caros, para mi vale muchísimo la pena, ya que en los Lagoon overwaters o las villas en la playa no tienes la barrera de coral cerca y no tienes opción fácil de ver tantos peces. Creo que es la gracia. Los overwaters son magníficos, espaciosos y con todo lo necesario. La terraza estupenda. El hotel en general es perfecto. El buffet muy completo y variado. Los tres restaurantes son opciones también buenas. La discoteca sobre el mar y restaurante Beru Bar muy agradable. El Spa genial, los masajes son muy caros, pero magníficos. Las actividades acuáticas también estupendas. Nosotros reservamos la opción de pensión completa y fue una elección acertada (todo incluido es interesante, si bebes mucho alcohol, como no es mi caso, pensión completa es suficiente, ya que solo tuvimos que pagar las cervezas o cocktails de la noche y nos salió a cuenta). ¡La playa magnífica y que decir del agua turquesa!! Todo el personal del hotel es muy amable y servicial. Nos dijeron que el hotel estaba a un 90% de ocupación, pero en ningún momento tuvimos sensación de que estaba lleno, al contrario, siempre tenías sitio para desayunar o cenar en la terraza o para realizar cualquier actividad. Hay actividades nocturnas en la playa, como música en vivo, cine bajo las estrellas o baile típico maldivo. Pero todo de calidad y siempre con poca gente, no como los hoteles masificados. Hay bicicletas en todo el hotel para trasladarte de un sitio a otro, algo también muy agradable. En definitiva, una estancia maravillosa, inolvidable y totalmente recomendable.
